I'm 19. What should I do about this family situation?

My father has been drinking heavily lately. I work every day at an office. He is unemployed and lives off the rental income from the upstairs room in our house.

Last night, he asked me for $20 for beer. I refused to give it to him. He got really angry and said he would start charging me $1,500 in rent for our own house (I already pay $500 as my share to help with the household) and that I could forget about the $20. I brushed it off because he was drunk and I didn’t take him seriously. He went to his room grumbling. A few minutes later he came back and told me to forget about the $1,500. Then he told me to pack my things because I would be out of the house tomorrow. I brushed it off again. He got even angrier and kept grumbling to my two siblings, “I’m so angry at that asshole — if he comes out of that room, I’ll bash his head in.”

The next morning, while I was getting ready for work, I discovered that all the doors were locked. He had locked them so I couldn’t leave for work. I went to his room to get the key, but he was passed out from the night before. Fortunately, I found the keys on the floor by the bed.

Help?

More long-term, you might want to explore these sources of advice and help:

Al-Anon - the AA offshoot for families of alcoholics
Adult Children Of Alcoholics

You can just move out. Dealing with alcoholics is something for professionals. Buy him cheap beer to shut him up, until you find somewhere else to stay.

Next time, give him the $20. Obviously you want to move out as soon as you can, but until you can just try and keep things calm.

Can you support yourself on your own or with at least with a roommate?
If you can, remind him that he needs you more than you need him.

moving out, obviously.
i got kicked out at 18, because after 8 hrs of school everyday, i had to do the dishes and do the household myself. there was no time for sleeping or jerking off or homework or friends or hobbies or a gf. my dad would just watch tv all day and complain to me that "he cant cook food if i havent done the dishes", my mom would work all day and come home completely tired. naturally there was psychological warfare everyday and loathing at home.

finally i was homeless, failed school of course, failed at an apprentice job, got ill and am now on gubbermint gibs. (still homeless, but with shelter)
i retook my classes with success, but cant really work, could study but its all so tiresome and boring, uninspired.
so, i just do what i want with infinite gibs monies, saved some money and may take a drivers license, maybe.
lifting, gaming, researching fringe topics of the human consciousness and occultism, sleeping all day, the full NEET.
at least i dont have any debts or obligations. im actually free. because you know what? i can distance myself from situations and things. i literally do not care.
>oh no whatabout your pension, or future
