For the last couple years I've noticed myself semi-frequently forgetting the names of objects I see every day. The earliest I noticed was with my dart board, and just today I forgot the name of a casserole dish. About a month ago I called my dishwasher a washing machine. I'm only 28. It's worth noting I hit my head pretty badly twice as a kid, but I've only noticed this forgetfulness as an adult so I don't think it's that. I guess I can also add that I've had sporadic hallucinations since childhood (usually hearing my name, but I once felt what I can only describe as a metal ribcage next to me in bed). Physical health issues run in my family, but not mental health. Should I be concerned?

One of each. I had my apprehensions due to how short its development timeline was, but everyone I know got it without any problems surfacing.

I'm sorry about that, a guy that worked with my mom got Alzheimer just at 19, and Alzheimer didn't run in his family. I'm really sorry. I don't want to make you worried, but you should definitely go see a doc, even though they failed you once.

Classic definition: "If you forget where you left your keys, don't panic. If you have your keys in your hand but don't know what they are, panic."

That's called CRS disease: Can't Remember Shit.

You're probably fine. Happens to us all, and gets worse with age. Pretty sure that's where words like thingamajig and doohickey originate from.

If you're worried, talk to a doctor. That's what they're there for.
