I need some advice on what to do about my sleep schedule. I’ve been trying to go to bed early and get up early after being stuck in an unstable sleep routine for quite some time. However, when I try to fall asleep, my mind starts racing and I can’t stop thinking about all sorts of things. For example, I can replay conversations over and over in my head or dwell on all the negative experiences I’ve had in my life while feeling a certain sense of sadness and sorrow. So if anyone could give me some clear advice on what I can do about this distress (how to relax my mind and disconnect as much as possible to help stimulate my sleep process), I would really appreciate it. I would also appreciate any other feedback on how to improve my sleep schedule overall.

Driving a long trip always makes me tired. So does going swimming. A warm bath would probably help me but I don't have a tub. Reading an engaging story helps too, but must be engaging, otherwise you just tire and distract yourself, no different from what you do in bed. Exercise doesn't help me sleep.

Bump. I’ve slept in way too late once again, and I don’t think I can keep this up anymore. I have these awful dark circles under my eyes, and getting up so late just saps my motivation to keep going. Getting my sleep schedule in order is probably one of the most important things I want to fulfill in order to lead a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. If anyone has any advice for me, I’d love to hear it.

I just play youtube videos on my phone at a low volume so I have something I can mentally focus on rather then letting my mind race

I have something like pic related clamp to the shelves above my bed so the phone can be above or in front of me without me needing to hold it up

You might need a screen darkening app tho so your phone isn't too bright in your face
