Likelihood of Kratom inducing schizophrenia?My family has a history of mental illness so I know that doing any type of drugs, even weed could cause a schizophrenic break. My brother's life is completely ruined because he now has severe schizophrenia caused and worsened by Meth and is, among other things, convinced there's a giant pedophile cult in town that my mom runs. My friend recently tried mushrooms and offered me some(she completely forgot about my aversion to anything psychedelic, an honest mistake and she felt horrible when I reminded her about my brother) but I refused as I don't want to take any chance I may end up like my brother.I recently saw Kratom was legal in my state and saw high doses feel like opiates which sounds interesting, however, I obviously don't want to risk anything so i was curious as to how harmful they could be for me.

It helps relieve pain, similar to aspirin or naproxen, and is useful for someone trying to stop taking opiates. Completely harmless. You’d need to make a great effort to get hooked on something so innocuous.
