Just join a Discord community, it's very easy to find friends there, the problem is, it's very fleeting, people come and go, and sometimes a person you think it means a lot to you, doesn't care about you at all. The thing about IRL friends is that the connection is much stronger, I mean, not always, most of IRL friends drifters away from me past high school, and another batch past university.

You might just be an introvert.
Consider looking for people with similar temperaments to yourself, and talking to them may become a little more enjoyable.
