I don't enjoy video games anymore. What else am I supposed to do in my free time that requires no skill and has to be in the home alone

>What else am I supposed to do in my free time that requires no skill and has to be in the home alone?
There's ton's of hobbies you could get into, but anything requires some amount of skill. Even video games. If your good with your hands and like games, try board games like chess or small sports like darts. Outside of that, you can always find hobbies by just trying them out. I got really into cross stitching for a while simply because I gave it a shot. Out of the ones I've tried, I'd suggest: cooking, walking and swimming

Do something else with your time? Find a hobby you actually enjoy retard.

stew in the boredom until you start doing something more interesting irl
that's the point of boredom
you should be grateful for this, you will be if you decide to do something more interesting

the act of learning a skill can be much more fun, you should play guitar or work on software projects or something, those can be done in the home

alternatively if you want to losermaxx & seal your coffin, you could start drinking while playing videogames, it will make the games fun again for a few months

Building skills is like the funnest thing over time but it sucks at first. Dude I can kinda play the piano now.
>>
>>34523125
No I want something that requires no skill. I was shit at gaming

>>34523126
Like? I don't enjoy anything

>>34523138
Then I would just shitpost all day

Reading takes very little effort. You can also watch documentaries. Maybe exercise/walk is not too bad. But I think a good way to start is by identifying what kind of games you liked/what did you like about games? Maybe that can lead into the activity you will now choose. Example: you liked fighting games so maybe pick up an insturment (practicing sequence of notes instead of practicing combos) or do mma/bjj/whatnot irl if it was the actual fighting aspect you liked. if you like worldbuilding try writing, visual try drawing, maybe make a game, etc.

it sounds like you've given up before you've tried, you're doing yourself a disservice

if you think boredom would just make you shitpost figure out why & how to change that behavior loop
a lot of the time it's environmental also, like if you have a tiny cluttered room in a loud neighborhood it might be hard to do anything but shitpost
but if you have a really empty space with a workstation for whatever you want to do sitting right next to you, it becomes much easier to just, on a whim, decide to start doing something other than shitposting
>>
>>34523162
you're not too dumb

you'd start enjoying things once you got a snowball rolling, trust me
if you like the IDEA of something give it a shot
>>
>>34523162
Just practice various hand exercises while you watch tv or whatever and in a few years your hands will know lots of patterns. Also duolingo piano or something similar. Learn to juggle, that one is fast and easy to learn so will build your confidence, discipline, and resolve.

>requires no skill
What do you mean by this? If your expecting to become a professional at a hobby without even trying it you will always fail. Even walking requires a certain amount of skill.
>I don't enjoy anything
because you haven't explored anything.
>I'm too dumb
If your unwilling to try any advice on /adv/ then I'd agree.

>RPG's
To get better at something, you need to collect XP for it through a battle. You need to do this in real life as well: try new things, explore outside of your comfort zone.
>TLDR get good
>>
>>34523185
You like RPGs, any particular aspects you liked?
>Cozy adventures
Go outside on hikes or walks, just explore and talk to people.
>Simulating a group of friends
Make some IRL
>Fantasy aspect
Read/write/worldbuilding or maybe play TTRPGS? Also solves the friend aspect.
I am probably missing some other points but those are the main ones.

Actually swordplay with real metal feels SO much fun. Imagine fulfilling your 8 year old self's imagination with an actual WW1-2 era saber. I'd also put foraging and archeology in if your nearby nature. Learn your local wildlife, even get into hunting if you want some IRL RPG encounters. (polearms and spears are recommended for large game if your not going bow hunting).
For the non- larping adventures, what are some of the cool artifacts/relics you have discovered? For me it's:
>Carved a horn from a shell after diving on an island.
>Took a ivory bolo from a twisted collapsing manor in a mining town.
>Found an ancient stone age knife while climbing a cliffside.

Adventures out there for those who go looking for it.

>No I want something that requires no skill
What do you want to do? Just watch videos all day? Every hobby requires some skill. Some are trickier than others, but they all do.

Other than watching videos, I guess you can try reading a book or reading comics/manga, if you really make a point in not wanting to exercise any skill at all. You could also play a game that isn't competitive and that you can play at your own pace, like The Sims and similar games.

Good luck getting out of it

When I feel sick of everything in my steam library I play my guitar. Try a creative hobby like drawing or instrument of your choice. If you really want another mindless hobby try reading a book that interests you or painting warhammer 40k models. I feel like it is easy to get sick of videogames if you've been gaming your whole life.
>>34524348
Not necessarily. Its easy to get into a negative feedback loop if you blame lack of enjoyment on depression rather than try new things.

It can't be this. Go on 10km walks.
