I have a Phanteks G500A case, 7X Phanteks T30 140mm fans that just came out, and an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420mm aio CPU cooler. Should I front mount the cooler with the stock cooler fans, or, should I top mount it with three T30's on the cooler? As in, what will fit? I have an Aorus Elite X870. (I know if I front mount it I have to flip the stock fans on the radiator if I'm having three front fans on the case as intake, don't worry about it)
>>
Also, I have the default Liquid Freezer III 420mm, NOT the Pro. Help me faggots.
>>
Liquid Freezer III 420 should be front mounted in the G500A, not top mounted. Front mount Arctic LF III 420 with its stock Arctic fans, top mount 3x Phanteks T30 140 as exhaust, rear 1x T30 exhaust, also, there's another board for that.

Why? And, are you sure it will fit? Because people keep giving me differing info; they'll say neither will fit, or they'll say one will fit while the other won't. The T30's are 30mm thick I believe, which is 5mm thicker than average I believe.

I know, but, I didn't know if you could ask build questions there. I will post there, too.

>Why?
Because I want to.

>are you sure it will fit?
Shouldn't you measure it?
>>

I'm saying why should it be front mounted? I will measure it but if its tight i might be off a bit

They have a thread for pc building called /pcbg/.

This is the safest recommendation because the Arctic LF III is unusually thick compared to many AIOs, so front mounting avoids the biggest compatibility trap: top motherboard clearance.

Arctic's included fans are already pressure optimized for the radiator. Swapping to T30s in many cases adds more thickness, clearance risk, etc.

Top mount 3x T30 exhaust, rear 1x T30 exhaust is to make airflow sense, Front intake through radiator, strong top exhaust, rear exhaust, positive or near neutral pressure depending RPM curves.

And your Aorus Elite X870, top clearance may be tighter than with some lower profile boards.

Will I have to remove the front most T30 on the top to fit the cooler in the front? Someone told me I'll probably have to and that will piss me the fuck off.
