But Atheism and Theism:
Both are claims about reality. And claims need proof. Just because you have no proof of theism, doesn't mean that you have proof of atheism. The absence of proof isn't the proof of absence. Why do you think agnostics exist? Atheism isn't the natural position. It is an active position. If I ask you if there is a dildo in my ass right now and I don't show you any proof, you wouldn't take the active position, which claims that there isn't because I haven't shown you any proof. You would probably say "I don't know. I would have to investigate".

Ancient man was just as capable of asking questions and doubting as you are, meaning religions must have an underlying reasoning behind them that you simply aren't privy to. Start with someone like Aristotle and move your way up to Plotinus before looking into what the early Christian saints taught, if you want to actually be knowledgeable on this subject and not just some braindead reddit atheist whose opinions come from cartoons and social media posts.

That didn't really happen. That's something you saw in a cartoon. Heretics were excommunicated at worst, not exiled or killed. But more importantly, you've entirely skipped over the part where the religion became established in the first place. It would not have been possible for one random person to invent a tall tale and get other people to believe it without evidence, to the point of starting organized religion. Meaning there must have been a convincing argument from the outset.

Try to find a common ground. A lot of Christian bible stuff has a lot of decent advice that people without good upbringings or life structure can benefit from.
