I went home with a guy who seemed nice from work, we had been flirting back and forth for a while, but when we got to his place it was a wreck. There was a bad smell in the air, he had thrown away boxes for food everywhere. A lot of them had old bits of food covered in mold. There were dirty napkins shoved into and under the couch enough that you could see them sticking out. The couch was discolored, and the cushions felt crunchy.We went to his room and his pillows didn't have any pillow cases and the pillows themselves were yellow. I got outside and I kept running until I was sure he wasn't behind me and I got an Uber home.I didn't see him at work the next couple days, but I was too embarrassed about everything to mention it to anyone at work. He came back today though, and he asked if I'd come back to his place again since he'd cleaned up after I left.I froze like a deer in headlights and I couldn't speak, and after a minute he said sorry and left me alone.Our boss saw him trying to talk to me a lot at work and me freezing up whenever he did and told him to stop. He ended up quitting that afternoon, and called me that evening crying to ask why I won't give him another chance. I feel bad about how I've handled things, because he didn't do anything threatening to make me feel scared but I can't help being scared.I don't know for sure that he's following me.
