how to have purpose and meaning in life?
>>34537935If you have to ask, then your thread (or the your worded it) is fundamentally flawed, since "purpose" is often unconsciously instilled in most people's heads through external motivators such as family, culture or politics even before they become fully grown adults. If you're making such a hard question while providing zero information about yourself, then I'll assume you're some early 20s zoomie who grew up surrounded by ineffective/indifferent caretakers and is just coasting through life indulging in distractions to self soothe your lack of direction.

Here.
>>34538435I'd say that many zoomers have a hard time engaging in constructive and intentional introspection(rumination doesn't count), which could help them accurately access what's exactly "wrong" with their lives, and also very often lack the intellectual capabilities to share their ailments with the world in a coherent way. In my opinion, those problems can be traced back to political, cultural and biological causes such as the lack of human connection, death of rites of passage,overstimulation/overconsumption,death of communities, too much poison everywhere (in the air, earth and water).Someone smarter may list more possible causes since I think it's an interesting topic (I dread the mess gen alpha will become). I think Ted K was right, technology (especially the Internet) will lead to our downfall as a species.
