There's a difference between hatred and resentment. A lot of guys resent women. There's different reasons for resentment. Some guys were legitimately mistreated or even abused by women in their life. Some guys are envious of how women tend to be treated better. Some people just want to be angry: it just depends. Hate is stronger. I would assume that's less common than mere resentment
