What's wrong with me?
I'm so mind broken I can't even watch kino or TV anymore. I used to love watching movies. I still want to do it. But these days I just can't do anything for fun. It's so hard to make myself do anything.
I don't understand. It's like a massive mental block.

Perhaps part of the reason is I'd always do it just before bed but now since I have a full time job I have to be in bed by 9:30 every night and never feel ready to go to bed at that time let alone start watching something earlier because I've only had a few hours to myself and don't feel like I've done anything (which I haven't)
I think that's only part of the problem. I could have the entire Saturday free and be able to sleep in on Sunday and I'd still not be able to do it. But it doesn't help

I assumed that that is just what being an adult is like. Nothing is fun, there is only scrolling social media on your bed or working

I have the same problem, now I can only do it when I'm with friends. I usually get together with online friends from Discord and watch old movies. I cannot watch newer ones though, often times they're terrible. I have watched a few nice movies lately, like Casablanca (1942), The Time Machine (1960), The Invisible Man (1933), Metropolis (1927)... I will keep on watching older movies, they're kino, interesting and often times thought provoking. The best part of watching with friends is that you can comment about it afterwards, and it becomes a topic of conversation and discussion.

Not really, you are craving meaningful human interactions, but since you are not having much, you are probably trying to intoxicate yourself with an overdose of dopamine. I think you probably do not like to interact with people around you and on your daily life, not because you are complete asocial, but because you find these people not interesting and worth it of your time. I may be reading too much into it, you tell me.

Yeah it's like 98% slop. Do stuff. Watch on occasion. I like Invincible.

I think a big reason is the lack of free time/burn out from already watching a bunch of movies. The social interaction also could be it, I think OP should try a different activity at least for a little while. Also could be that newer shit is not as good as the old stuff.

First of all thanks for replying to my cry for help, I think you are right. To begin with I don't go out and meet people a lot, and to be honest I don't have a lot of experience with doing anything that involves social interactions. I will make a note to myself to think about that more

I don't see the problem

No worries.

But... Would you like to go out with people and have fun or do you think that in this specific situation you would space out the entire time? It's something you should think about.

Going out for the sake of going out would feel unnatural, best thing I can imagine would be something like taking some type of course and meeting people there
