After decades of emotional numbness, my emotions are back, and I don't know how to cope

How are they asserting themselves? Are you getting flashbacks to emotional moments, or are you just reacting emotionally to things that are happening in the present?
I know for myself I pushed down my emotions for years and started having flashbacks with a vengeance. For me the thing that helped me with my flashbacks was to imagine myself going back in time and making things go more positively. This has a twofold effect. First, it makes you feel better in the present, if not from the comfort of imagining things going better then just by distracting yourself enough by taking your thoughts to a different place. Second, it disrupts the flashback mechanism. When you get a flashback, you're not just experiencing the memory, you're experiencing all the times you remembered the memory. The negative connotations with that memory are strengthened every time you remember it. This helps to disrupt those pathways so you don't get stuck in a long form negative feedback loop.

If you are not having flashbacks then we need to know what you're experiencing emotionally to help.

I'm not, I got better, most of my symptoms went away, the future stopped looking dark, and now I started to feel extremely lonely all the time.
Also, when I see someone I like talking to someone else I get extremely mad, and I try not to act on it, but people notice and think I'm an ass

I just started SSRIs, and I'm experiencing it too, and... I kind of like it? I feel like a living human rather than a soulless automaton for the first time in a long time.

I was okay with that specific part, but I had other things that were much worse, and being lonely isn't as bad as being in despair or having anxiety
