Failed to even land an interview from June of last year until last month.Went to job fairs and local businesses with my resume in hand. Finally I get an interview, and they're constantly pushing back interview dates because "they're busy"After 5 weeks, 3 interviews, and a promise to call me when they were ready to put me on a trial run, I was flat out sent an email informing me the position was given to someone else. They then said I could apply run the phones. (no guarantee)Should I give on this and go back to retail? Why is it so hard to get a job as a laborer? It shouldn't be this impossible. For reference, I went to a local trade school, which was cheaper and I guess less useful than a degree from a technical institute. As for my local union they basically told me the apprenticeship program is so competitive, you have to have years of job experience to stand a chance of them paying to train you. How ass backwards is that?
