If In a college program i flunked my first semester with a -1 gpa, but then applied for a different college a year later, would the new college im applying to know i fucked up? Theres no way they don't have access to that info since the two colleges are less than 50 miles apart, but i feel like im screwing my chances by giving them the shit transcripts
>>34546239Distance is not an issue - colleges don't have some master file of each other's drop-outs. You can, if you want to, pretend the first try never happened. But just out of curiosity, what makes you think you will do better next time?
are you EVER doing anything that needs a background check? are you EVER gonna need financial aid or FAFSA stuff or student loans? yes, most colleges will immediately dismiss you if you fail to disclose all previously attended institutions, and they have a ton of vectors where they will find out. it is possible to keep it totally separate, yes, but there's a hundred landmines buried if you walk that path. even stuff like an internship on campus working at a labi know this is hard for someone dumb enough to fail undergrad classes, but just admit what happened and be transparent from the beginning

>>34546239they don’t fucking carejust the fact that they (I assume) accepted you means they don’t give a fuckcolleges are businesses first and foremostthey do not care whether you pass or fail as long as you pay tuition and for retakes
I'm not OP, but I'm nearly at the end of the first semester and I'm doing okay in college, if I fail, do I get a refund or a chance to restart cost free? I'm already $10K in the hole. I'm in my mid 20s.
>>34549349No. You "purchased" the opportunity to take classes. There was no guarantee you would do well.
