Hear me out. 3 months ago i bought 3 max tier 6 month subscriptions to tinder, bumble, and Hinge. 3 months into using all three apps i got really lucky and matched with my now girlfriend.

Things have been going really well, we have good chemistry, it is a great relationship. But there is a gigantic fight. She saw on my phone that i still have 3 dating apps installed on my phone. She demanded that i deleted them

Now i know that obviously how bad it looks from the outside. But i spent hundrends of dollars on a product and to just throw away my dating profile on a whim would be a gigantic waste of resources that i already poured so much time, money, and energy into. I dont even log into the dating apps or message other women on there, but if i get dumped or cheated on, it would be a fantastic safety net for me if i am collecting a couple likes a week for the months i am still dating my girlfriend.

If we stay together, perfect! Best case scenario, this is exactly what i always wanted out of paying for dating apps

If she dumps or cheats on me, then fine, i am glad i kept my profiles open collecting potential canidates.

I think it is unfair that women can have their social media wide open and recievie dozens of dms from random men on a daily basis, but if i try to keep the door open, i am suddenly a piece of shit? Should i delete my dating apps and throw away all my resources spent or should i keep my dating apps open but keep it a hidden secret? I want to reiterate, i have absolutely zero interest in cheating on her. I just view as a matter of fairness.

Why not delete the apps but not the account? Regardless if you are feeling like you might need to keep them maybe that relationship isnt going to work. I know if i met someone i actually liked i would delete the apps just because i would take her seriously.

The problem is he isnt throwing away the resource if hes just deleting the app, if he deletes the account then yes he is throwing it away but thats not the question
