My few current friends are autistic, passive aggressive and they just suck overall. I'd like to find new ones, irl or online, either way works, but I don't know how. I kind of just get approached by people my entire life but now I gotta do it proactively this time. I look at discord servers, but get anxious about me being a stranger dropping a message and just suddenly and blatantly joining in on a conversation that does not expect me to be a part of.The area I live in is so backwater that there is no online find-a-friend group or whatever for it, just sex hookups and finding partners. The only thing I could think of is going to bars and clubs, but the kind of people who go into bars and clubs are the kind of people I don't even want to be with in the first place.
>>34548008I made friends through church and by being a regular at one store, not sure if that works for you
>>34548008Ban women from 4chan.
>>34548008If you leave your house it's not that difficult, just go to random places, train stations, parks or whatever and in 1 month someone will have spoken to you, worked for me, just meeting random people on a train, now that i'm a neet that doesnt leave home it's impossible to find anyone online
>>34548228I'm too much of a degenerate weirdo for church people.>>34548958I leave the house for leisure every day already. And I talk to a lot of people, though mostly on business terms. I don't initiate casual conversations with complete strangers for no reason though, and there has been no one to do that for me for years. I'm bad at getting the ball rolling.I guess what I'm really looking for in a friend is someone who would like the same things I do, which is the hard part.
Alright here is how, demand that everyone below you must suck your dick.
>>34549025And what are the things you like to do
>>34548008Start with acquaintances. Over a short or long time some become friends. Meet your neighbors, classmates, co-workers, churchgoers. Join a club, team, gym, class. Do charity work. Hang out at the comic book store, park, beach, wherever.
>>34548008>here are my highly specific criteria for friends. they must be asocial like me but not autistic. i will make no exceptions or compromises>where are all my friends
>>34549096Things that I'm too old for. Gachaslop, modern games, anime, some D&D when I was still with my old friends before they started having lives on their own. Pretty basic shit in hindsight yet somehow I'm having difficulty finding people who are into the things I enjoy, that are also not underage.>>34549178I suppose the question is how do I even start a conversation, and how do I cope if they just give me an annoyed glance or something.>>34549201>they must be asocial like me but not autisticSo people who don't go to clubs or bars equals to being asocial to you? I just don't vibe well with people with normal hobbies. I don't know shit about mainstream music, sports, or cars or whatever. And autism is fine, maybe even welcomed but there is something as being *too* autistic. The point where the other person just thinks on a completely different wavelength and thought patterns as you, and extremely subdued behavior in general.
>>34549211>So people who don't go to clubs etc etc I was hoping to provoke some reflection on your part, perhaps not an indignant response.
>>34549215I did come across as prejudiced and I'm not going to deny that. Still, I am reluctant on mingling in bars and such, with the reasons mentioned above and I don't even like drinking in the first place.
>>34549211But how old are you? I don't think age would be a problem with the things you like, even you were 40.There arent online games you play were maybe you could talk with someone?
>>34550441I'm 36. Too old to be hanging around early 20-year olds without looking like a creep. I've made acquaintances at best in my line of work, which also does not allow me to meet much people.Oh man I'd love to play an MMO right now but the current situation for that genre has been terrible for a long time. I don't really play any online games nowadays but I've always been down for anything.
>>34548008>My few current friends are autistic, passive aggressive and they just suck overall.tismbros...
>>34550799It's over.
>>34548008>onlineI can befriend you if you want, OP>irlThis will always be better, it's just different having someone you can hug tightly when you feel down.
>>34550795>Oh man I'd love to play an MMO right now but the current situation for that genre has been terrible for a long time. I don't really play any online games nowadays but I've always been down for anythingI feel the same way. Have you played No Man's Sky? I think you would like it, it's sandbox and spatial exploration. I have an online friend I play with, we also watch movies together. You're invited if you want. But as I said here >>34550858, it's always better to have irl friends, it just hist different.
>>34548008Regular people go out to places, do things, and bond with over people based on their common interests. Nobody wants to be around trannies, and trannies have no identity outside of being a tranny, and so nothing to bond over. In short, (You) don't.
>>34550867Ideally yes I'd love to have irl friends but it's much harder to find compatible people where I live. Here is my discord: jetty9186
>>34549025>degenerate weirdoThat's kind of who churches are for, anon. There are also plenty of degenerate weird spiritual groups, most of what makes it work is the sense of social belonging and collective hope towards the future. All the old people who make it to their 80s and beyond are active in some kind of club, churches were basically just meet-and-greet spaces to get to know your neighbors and build mutual support networks for the generations before the boomers. You can do the same shit if you just consistently show up somewhere with other people and a purpose.
