>spend 10 years on this
>isn't even sellable or maybe for like 250 bucks (I would starve at that prices)

the backdrop looks washington dc after the events of fallout 3.
who even is your target audience?
and yes, 99% of artists will be poor. It's a highly competitive field where supply exceeds demand, and now people can not only print digital art, but they can get AI to make them art.
You're not doing it for money unless you were plucked as a cabbage patch like bieber or swift.
many artists end up having a second job to finance their passion, which is why many are/were music teachers, or do something else on the side.
added for 10 years, that should have been the mona lisa. i think da vinci was pumping shit out every few months though.

looks like about 30 hours of work max what were you doing for that 10 years

if that really took you 10 years it's more of a journal or diary than it is a professional work -- the art behind a 10 year piece is less about the finished product and more about the context

if you do make it as a famous artist that will be an expensive piece as people try to pick at and decipher little clues as to your feelings and thoughts over the years (context as an art) rather than try to say that's an incredible painting

if you want to make money now from your paintings you could try making one where that cow-pegasus is fucking that dame in purple

its like 40 hrs maybe maybe 35, 30 to 40 range probably, but its kind of tough so i do like 3 to 4 hrs a day and sometimes due to being a degenerate-doing other things i take a few days off or a week off etc, so it takes forever, i gotta start lifting to get stronger physically cause my wrist was getting tense today for example the start of faggot tendinitis

well no shit. don't spend multiple years on anything before you've figured out how to iterate on things that actually sell

Your contrast is fucked bro it's so busy. And the only clear leading lines are leading you to the dark doorway way in the background what is the main subject of this painting? Because it feels like it's supposed to be the building but you put a bunch of shit in the way.
The issues in this painting are strikingly similar to Hitler's mistakes...

First: fix your diagnosed ADHD. mild stimulants can do the job in the short-term
.
Second: learn about lighting and texture and anything else you feel you misunderstand.

Third: get good. Practice lots on project pieces to develop your skill and vision rather than on a single magnum opus.

Fourth: fuck zach, if you see him giving dogshit advice tell him to get lost since that midwit doesn't actually read posts before replying.

You kid yourself, its not worth 50dol.
The most important thing is to not create with a materialistic needs, especialy when youre not that good.
Im in my late 30s and the single thing that Im sure when it comes to art, is that artfags that become professional dont cheerish creation anymore. Its just commissions and work. Im all in for the growth and like some anons already told you - doing more, less developed pieces than 1, you need to firstly lear. But dont go into "how can i turn it into cash" mentality because its the end of the pleasure that comes from creation. Real artist do their pieces without the thought of money.

you would be better off spending 10 years making dozens if not hundreds of artworks in order to practice and train your artskill as if it was a muscle, than a single one with barely any detail and wonky lines

Imagine being an "artist" when I get better pictures from AI for free

Imagine getting pictures from AI when you can literally imagine them in your head.

Very, VERY few artists earn a living through their art. Warhol started in advertising, Magritte worked in it all his life, Koons was a Wall Street broker, and so on. Most contemporary artists, even big names, pay the day-to-day bills with day jobs, often as university teachers.

Man it seems so grueling to do studies but I may have to lmao

Like I'm making this for money and it took me 50 hours

If the studies don't take me less time it's gonna be hell

I think art is the most resilient to ai automation since its soul to soul transmission, unless ai becomes sentient

What if I get da Vinci tier?

>What if I get da Vinci tier?

Then you get a rich patron who pays your bills for you. Leoardo had the Church - today it would be a dealer or rich collector paying you a retainer for first choice
