i have a scar that's went hypertrophic. it's causing me alot of bother, like i feel as though there is a sewing needle stabbing into my arm at random times throughout the day, so i think i'm going to cut the entire scar out and treat and close the wound properly this time (probably should've got stitches at the time, and shouldn't have picked the scab off either). any advice before i do it? inb4 go to the doctor

>>34844138What you’re feeling is the healing process, reopening it or whatever to try and get rid of it is going to ensure you get a more fucked up scar on top. Just moisturize it regularly and that helps. I have a hypertrophic scar that still itches when it gets dry 3 years later.
