Hi 4chan! I am a university student and I am putting in my best effort to get to the top of the food chain (PHD) in my academic discipline. I am making this post today because I have noticed a behavioral pattern among (for the sake of simplicity) the male and female gender. I often reduce interactions with the female gender (I am male). I notice that other people in the university community seem to perceive me as a "roadblock" (?) in their romantic pursuits offline. This is making me confused, because my behavior in eye-to-eye offline has consistently involved minimalizing speaking to the opposite gender. I personally suspect that because of my in person presence, the males around me blame me for the failures of their romantic pursuits. I have been insulted, questioned, accused of being contradictory, falsely invited to events, ignored by authority, told to never speak about romance, and many more that my memory fails to recollect. The suspicion that I am the problem and reason for why other males cannot find success in romance seems to be a lingering accusation tied to my identity. It is easy for me to see this, because in my in-person reality, I have been speaking truths about my experiences. I am not fully aware of the impact of telling my stories to other people, but I am starting to understand that people don't want to hear any of my stories where I am the victim. I have tried to communicate to my parents a metaphor that I feel like I am always "taking hits" for someone or something. I have been unable to utilize my first amendment to the point of creating a friendship bond, I have no weapon for the 2nd amendment, and I often am a person not fully utilizing my fifth amendment. I feel as if I am not a US citizen, even though I have studied and been raised here my entire life. I guess the previous sentence gives away that I am not caucasian. I am not sure what to do, because from my own standpoint, I believe I am acting in a way that adheres to the rules.
