>be diagnosed with severe ADHD>cant start any tasks, whole room is a mess (even though ironically i really enjoy organizing stuff)>couldnt even enroll in an university last year due to this>get prescribed ritalin, vyvanse and another kind of concerta>all give me horrible side effects and I'm asked to get off themI don't know what to do anymore. I know I have to get my life in place and really want to, but my brain genuinely rather stare at a fucking wall all day and waste all the free time I have than start even the simplest task (ask me how I know). I'm on medicinal cannabis right now but it still hasn't really made any good effect. And as I said it's not even "lazyness" either, I really do enjoy organizing, as a kid I used to ask my parents if I could clean up drawers and other places around the house but now I can't even clean my mess of a room. What the fuck should I do? I've spent the whole year trying to battle this but so far I have barely made any progress, and what I thought was a step forward just came with a horrible side in it (like all the meds I tried).
>>34974872Honestly just try different drugs. You did vyvanse and ritalin, have you tried Adderall? There are ways to mitigate ADHD, but it's really hard without medication
>>34974910>have you tried Adderall? It's illegal to even prescribe it where I live, I could maybe try to get it from the chinese but I'm not sure if it would even be worth it due to it having a similar composition to ritalin anyway (from what I know)>There are ways to mitigate ADHD, but it's really hard without medicationYeah, I've tried a LOT of the normie advice of "just don't allow yourself any screens" and such, I end up just staring at the ceiling instead of really doing anything though
Do you get enough sleep? Is it quality sleep, do you have sleep apnea? Do you do enough sports? What about nutrition? Do you get enough omega 3 fats in your diet? Do you eat enough protein rich foods? If all else fails the combination of omega 3 and phosphatidylserine may help you a bit long term as they are said to help with ADHD symptoms. What about iodine? A lack of iodine allegedly makes you retarded
Iron, magnesium, b vitamins. What are the side effects you felt?
>>34974910Sorry to hear that. Another suggestion I have is to try the generic versions. Technically they're the same, but sometimes it is impurities that cause the side effects. My wife had terrible ichyness from Ritalin but no side effects from the generic
>>34974973>Do you get enough sleep? Is it quality sleep, do you have sleep apnea?I've had insomnia/difficulty to actually fall asleep for a very long time. My whole teen years I suffered from not being able to stay still in my bed and actually fall asleep, which I guess is just another side effect of the ADHD, being hyperactive during all the wrong moments and all. It has gotten slightly better and now I supplement melatonin along with nightly cannabis to help it a little, still it is far from perfect and I'm looking at dayvigo for a next try of actually being able to fall asleep on a set timing every day.>Do you do enough sports?Shamefully no, I always liked bodybuilding but then again, due to my ADHD it felt way harder than it should be to actually function on a gym and be able to start sets properly. Sometimes I walk around mindlessly though.>What about nutrition? Do you get enough omega 3 fats in your diet? Do you eat enough protein rich foods?I'd think for the most part yeah. I've always had a protein-decent diet and added more animal products and meat as the years went by. Nowadays I snack on some raw meat and eggs every once in a while, less consistent than I should be with diet but I'd say way better than the average normie still. Cut out gluten and most seeds also which slightly helped in some aspects but it unfortunately wasn't the entire problem.>What about iodine? A lack of iodine allegedly makes you retardedIf it's greatly present in eggs and milk I should probably be getting a fair enough share of it.
>>34975463>Raw meat
>>34975017For the medication? All three of the ADHD meds made me get a brief "high" after around a hour or two of taking them, mostly for around ~20-30 minutes though. Then they made me EXTREMELY sleepy, it felt like I had worked a whole day of hard labour, I fell into my bed for hours with my eyes burning but at the same time they made me not be able to sleep at all. I suffered for hours until the effects ran off at nighttime. Oh and vyvanse also made me get an allergic reaction after all that which made my face reddish for a bit.
>>34975468Primalism hasn't really helped the symptoms very much.
>>34975463Okay, if your side effects from ADHD meds include heart problems, you may have a high baseline anxiety, which would also check out with the staring at walls thing. I made a few supplement recommendations in this thread which may interest you >>34967807Of course there's also a social side to anxiety, maybe you are worried about your future, what you think you must do and why you think you must do it. Or maybe you are lonely or you feel like you can't trust your friends. Some stuff to philosophize about. If and only if you're a coffee drinker I strongly recommend that you spread it out throughout the day to avoid the anxiety spike and the dopamine crash loop.As for sports I really encourage you to make some sort of workout plan with gradually increasing weights, maybe look into interval training with lighter workouts and more intense workouts. In any case just make a plan that you can autistically follow so you know what you're doing. For sleep quality and anxiety there's nothing quite like running though, and just going for a quick run once per week would probably help your mental health in general. I know that running is boring so for me what helps is really running at my top speed and listening to vidya music while running. That's really all I can think of. Hope it helps
>>34975892Thanks for the recommendations fellow anon, yeah I've had psychiatrists who suspected a general anxiety along with the ADHD, I do have OCD along with it so that could explain a bit. Your supplement stack reminded me of the days I also used to be really into creating proper "stacks" for daily use haha. It interested me though, I was reading more about studies pairing apigenin + omega 3 together and I've seen they were used to try and slightly mitigate ADHD effects, not comparable to the meds ofc but still an improvement I'd guess. Not sure if you're gonna read this but if you're still here, would you have any recommended dosages/timing for the supplement stack you mentioned in that linked post? Any improvement in these symptoms would be helpful with the absolute state I am in atp, even if not very major.
>>34975478Yeah, you fucking retard, you're chugging brain worms and beef parasites and God knows what the fuck else. Cook your fucking food, you are being literally more retarded than a caveman.
>>34976897>would you have any recommended dosages/timing for the supplement stackExcept for L theanine which I personally take at the same time with caffeine in a 1:1 ratio I don't have specific timings. I guess for a start 100mg-ish doses once or twice per day should make a noticeable difference if you want to try it.I don't actually take Apigenin and Ashwagandha as part of a regular stack, I recommended Apigenin to the other OP because I use it on occasion and feel the effect immediately. Personally Ashwagandha makes me feel weird so I only really listed it because I know some people use it.
>>34974872What are the negative effects from the pills you have taken.
>>34975463From what I remember the iodine present in such foods, is the result of iodine residue in the cleaning equipment, which is subject to changes and crackdowns, making sure you actually get some direct intake of it would be wise.Sorry that a lot of Normie's are bothering you here with stupid advice, I know how that feels.
>>34974872There's other meds, like atomoxetine and guanfacine, which aren't stimulants.Try reducing the expected/predicted commitment to a task. Try making simple tasks like a couple sets of exercise paired with your breakfast routine.Supplements/herbals in general can help but not much compared to meds. There's basics like omega 3 and a multi. You can try saffron, it's studied for ADHD. Oroxylin A increases dopamine more mildly than pharma stimulants. Exercise obviously helps with everything if you can get yourself to do it. Apparently cardio is especially good for hyperactive/combined type.>>34975463>nightly cannabisTry not to. Over time it'll further worsen your memory and motivation. Saw this personally in a friend with ADHD.Apigenin, magnesium, taurine, lithium orotate, reishi mushroom, have all helped with my sleep. Valerian root and lemon balm may also help.
>>34977922If you do not have ADHD do not recommend non stimulants you will never understand what it feels like to take those.
>>34977929I do but have never taken non stimulant meds.
>>34974872Have you tried cocaine?
