Cats are curious and expressive and like investigating and fucking with things so when we got a dog I was not prepared for it to have only 2 emotional states: staring blankly or yelling. Even when you pet them they just stare. If you wrestle with them they'll try to correct their stance and stare. Then they hear something outside, go into yelling mode, and you have to distract them to get them to stare again.
