Oh shit guys owning a dog is making the weather bad
>>
>>5038576
The only things actually harming the climate are fossil fuels especially those burned for air travel, international shipping, and private transportation

While there are some gains to be made in the efficiency of meat acquisition it’s a non-issue compared to overpopulation in select regions, coal plants, and vehicular emissions. And meat is something we need to live.

Dogs and cats mostly eat food that would otherwise be wasted anyways (offal and scraps, rendered into meal)

There will be a psyop against pet ownership eventually, I guarantee it. Anything that makes people happy is a target.
>>
>>5038579
The weather is completely fine only a psycho would believe the gas we exhale and eating meat makes the weather bad.
>>
>>5038603
Already been happening for a while. Look at the lacey act and whitelist laws. Basically you can own a specific species of whatever, they pass a law and suddenly overnight you're a criminal for owning it and they can come to your house to kill it. Already happened to a couple guys who got targeted because they posted on forums.

They're going after easy targets like fish and reptiles because normies are retarded and don't see the slippery slope or in fact most will actually support it.

Yeah Forbes is about the same kind of retarded media that would report pet ownership equating to climate change
>>
>>5038628
this article is more like "do you have regrets about owning a dog" and I've had half a dozen dogs, and have regrets with all of them. because dogs aren't perfect, and neither are humans - dealing with reactivity or creating triggers unconsciously is never fun to work through
>Urination or defecation indoors
>22%
how do you fail to housetrain a dog lmao
>>
>>5038628
they're after your pets too, catcuck. Cats aren't vegan either.
>>
>>5038628
having dogs inside the house is stupid anyway, my doggos live in our house yard and they're happy and healthy
>>
>>5038628
This literally just a "study" that asks "do you like or dislike having to do this part of pet ownership". It then frames this as "people regret getting dogs". Every single decision carries some regrets! There is no such thing as pure pleasure, at least not for anything wholesome (drug, porn, and sex addicts who never run out may experience pure pleasure)

I'm positive I've seen this exact same bullshit repeated for cats, if not worse bullshit, because cats are also targeted by the NWO agenda (which is sadly not a conspiracy theory - rather, it is published literature you can download from official UN sources)
https://www.nssf.org/articles/u-n-conference-pushes-anti-hunting-meatless-agenda-to-fight-climate-change/
Why? Because vegan diets can support larger populations of slaves and kick the climate change can down the road until it's too late and the only solution is a dramatic mass depopulation event! AFTER the rich have their bunkers in place!

Never forget how easily statistics can be used to turn incomplete information into an emotionally charged "argument"

They really aren't, hence the reason you complete retards ignore the fact that China and India are responsible for over 1/3rd of the global emissions and yet are also curiously exempt from Green Mandates while every developed country that is responsible for ~1% isn't.

>>
>>5038968
He’s the feedlot guy. He wants all animals kept in cages with roofs. He also doesn’t count ranch raised beef that gets CAFO finished before slaughter as being contributed to by ranching. Which is a riot because most commercial ranches are cow-calf operations that send yearling steers to a finishing feed lot.

The real problem with American beef right now isn’t that there isn’t enough ranching or that the US can’t support enough cattle for US beef needs, it’s the collapse of the small hold farmer east of the Mississippi River due to property values and taxes outpacing revenues. Right now the ranchers out west don’t have enough water to increase what they graze, but the easterners who used to keep 40-60 head on pasture and supplement with grain have the water resources, the economics of it are just fucked due to suburban sprawl and farm bill nonsense that subsidizes giant conglomerates that put everyone in a corn-corn-onions-corn rotation and dump it as cheap animal feed on other nations because they make 6 or 7 times as much as can be used domestically.

Used to be you could support a family on 160, half being used for pastures and pens and half being hay and row crop, but it doesn’t work that way any more and what replaced that paradigm is far less productive in terms of quality nutrition for people.
>>
>>5038973
Better if America just gives up on beef entirely and buys it from Australia instead. Clearly it’s not working out for them either way. They even defunded the screwworm eradication program

How does India exceed the USA in plastic pollution despite manufacturing far less than America does?

It's almost as if the Chinese don't care about pollution.
America has the largest LOCAL defense manufacturing industry in the world.

The other issue is that we have no possible way of knowing the ozone thickness prior to the 1960s when it first became an annual and then monthly measurement.

At least with global temperature you have multiple methods of accurately estimating it.

You literally think there was a hole in the ozone layer. That was the point of the word "hole". To scare people into thinking this "hole" would expand until there's no ozone left.
>Ah yes, because we’re definitely talking about the naturally occurring thin ozone at the south pole

We have literally no way of knowing if it's natural or not...
The ozone thickness varies drastically within a year and over many years it shows longer term fluctuations.
CFC first started being used in large amounts in the 1930's and peak production was reached in the 1970's.
Yet ozone thickness reached its lowest point in mid 1990's.
Ozone layer thickness has increased constantly since the 1990's.
This is despite China and Russia producing huge amounts of CFC's past the 2010's.

I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily wrong. some of the ideas like we were going to turn the worlds into a snowpiercer scenario are retarded, but things like overfishing, the destruction of the Amazon, microplastics and so on are very real
>>
>>5039373
Hence my reservations for most conservationtards. I remember when they replaced paper bags will plastic to save the trees. How did that turn out?
>>
>>5039373
1) Microplastics are inert and aren't broken down by bacteria and so rely on long-term erosion.
Functionally speaking they are identical to silica dust. So it's nothing to worry about.
BUT, for sure, larger pieces of plastic can plug blowholes, get lodged in noses, get impacted in stomachs etc.

2) Yes, overfishing is a problem. Problem is China is literally fishing everyone else's oceans.
The refusal to sink Chinese fishing vessels is proof that nobody actually cares about overfishing.
https://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/military/chinas-aggressive-fishing-fleet-heading-for-australia-amid-trade-war/news-story/0175fe917c15096633b8b1bf6048522b

3) The only way of saving the amazon is by America invading all of South America and that's never happening.

This link points out that fossil fuel companies have been trying to cover up climate change
>A survey of climate scientists which was reported to the US House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in 2007, noted "Nearly half of all respondents perceived or personally experienced pressure to eliminate the words 'climate change', 'global warming' or other similar terms from a variety of communications." These scientists were pressured to tailor their reports on global warming to fit the Bush administration's climate change denial. In some cases, this occurred at the request of former oil-industry lobbyist Phil Cooney, who worked for the American Petroleum Institute

They literally did...
"An inconvenient truth" in 2006 claimed the complete disappearance of snow at the peak of Kilimanjaro by 2016. Which never happened.
Also claimed that the sea level would rise six meters when it's only risen 37 millimeters since 2006.

>>5039404
>This link points out that fossil fuel companies have been trying to cover up climate change

So it was already considered morally wrong to appose the global warming theory. Global warmism already dominated all discussion.
The "United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change" sought to change the world political and economical environment in order to save the planet from global warming.
>>5039404
>This link goes over the history of a program that offers interactive ground water demonstrations across schools.

"During the 1960s, growing concerns over threats to human health and the natural world spurred an effort among activists and educators to develop new approaches to teaching young people about the environment. Unlike predecessor movements such as nature study and conservation education, environmental education strove to do more than promote respect for the natural world, rather, it emphasized urgency, social responsibility, and problem solving."

Snow hasn't completely disappeared but the amount of snow has drastically reduced. Al Gore being wrong about this doesn't invalidate decades of climate study.

>So it was already considered morally wrong to appose the global warming theory.
Yes it's immoral for fossil fuel companies to lie about their impact on the Earth's ecosystem so they can make money.

>Snow hasn't completely disappeared but the amount of snow has drastically reduced.
Ok, it hasn't disappeared. He was completely wrong. Also no. To this day the peak is covered seasonally with snow. What has changed is the glaciers have shrunk. So yes. Al Gore being completely wrong about his claim does make him completely wrong about his claim. Also scientists supporting his failed prediction that didn't follow known data at the time does call their credentials into doubt.

"In contrast to the persistent slope glaciers, the glaciers on Kilimanjaro's crater plateau have appeared and disappeared repeatedly during the Holocene epoch, with each cycle lasting a few hundred years. It appears that decreasing specific humidity instead of temperature changes has caused the shrinkage of the slope glaciers since the late 19th century. No clear warming trend at the elevation of those glaciers occurred between 1948 and 2005."

Here is a list of the largest and most productive power plants utilizing each energy generation technique.

Nuclear - can be built and used anywhere. Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant had a 60.3 TWh output.

Geothermal - Can only be built around Geothermal sources. The geysers Geothermal field has a 6.516 TWh per year output.

Hydroelectric - Needs huge bodies of water to operate and generate useful amounts of electricity. The three gorges dam generates 95 TWh per year.

Tidal - The Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station in South Korea generates 0.5527 TWh per year.

Wind power - This is tricky because the largest wind farms suspiciously have no TWh per year data...
But, it is known that Brazil has over 10,000 wind turbines and all wind power in Brazil adds up to only around 72 TWh per year.
So wind power is insanely poor at generating useful amounts of energy.

Biofuel - Doesn't contribute meaningfully to anything and is overall just a bad idea.

hydrogen cars - You expend far more energy generating the hydrogen with electricity and most electricity comes from coal and natural gas...
Just directly burning petrol has a lower carbon footprint if that's your goal.

Ethanol - ethanol petrol mixes, especially E10 (10% ethanol) mixes are very common worldwide and succeeded where biofuel failed. People should learn from this. Practical engineering (like ethanol mixes) always wins over theoretical and ideological insanity.

What's crazy is I can't point to anything about him that sucks exactly, and I can't say any part of the experience of owning him has come as a surprise or been outside of my expectations. Anon. I'll make this slow and easy for you to understand. If you have a learning disability that's ok. Just tell me. I can break this down further if needed.

1) Quartz for example is a form of silica AND also a silicate...

2) "Silica dust" in general usage ISN'T referring to pure powdered silica. It's referring to the most common problematic component of dusts created from cutting rock, bricks or mining operations.

3) Brick dust for example is roughly 50% sand.
Sand is usually Quartz which is silica and a silicate.
30 to 40% clay which is a complex mix of silicates.
The remaining 10% is Iron oxide, lime and some impurities.

Brick/mortar in most of the world used to contain asbestos. In Russia and China they still contain asbestos. Old homes around the world still contain asbestos. The strongest and most heat resistant bricks ever made contained asbestos. bricks are also often adulterated with coal dust etc.

you have a whole bunch of lung disorders that involve breathing in silica, silicates, metal ores/oxides, carbon compounds etc...

>”Orcinus Orca. They’re commonly known as the Killer whale. But the Orca isn’t actually a whale: it’s in the dolphin family."
Did you spend that entire time looking for a source that says orcas aren’t whales? I’ll spell it out for you. Orcas are dolphins, dolphins are Odontocetes AKA toothed whales, toothed whales are whales, you are retarded
“A dolphin is a common name used for some of the aquatic mammals in the cetacean clade Odontoceti, the toothed whales”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolphin
>>
>>5040342
>>5040346

Dolphins are whales. All cetaceans are whales
>>
>>5040357
>Holy fucking retard. You’ve gone from saying “microplastics aren’t an issue
They aren't an issue because they are just as bad as the all-pervasive silica dust.
Everyone breathes in some dust during their lives and always have.
The key is in keeping the amount of exposure within reasonable limits. Same with microplastics.
>You didn’t though
I did though.

>Odontocetes

"Dolphins belong to the families Delphinidae (the oceanic dolphins), along with the river dolphin families Platanistidae (the Indian river dolphins), Iniidae (the New World river dolphins), Pontoporiidae "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolphin

"As an informal and colloquial grouping, they correspond to large members of the infraorder Cetacea, i.e. all cetaceans apart from dolphins and porpoises."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whale

"The two parvorders of whales, baleen whales (Mysticeti) and toothed whales (Odontoceti), are thought to have had their last common ancestor around 34 million years ago. Mysticetes include four extant (living) families: Balaenopteridae (the rorquals), Balaenidae (right whales), Cetotheriidae (the pygmy right whale), and Eschrichtiidae (the grey whale). Odontocetes include the Monodontidae (belugas and narwhals), Physeteridae (the sperm whale), Kogiidae (the dwarf and pygmy sperm whale), and Ziphiidae (the beaked whales)"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whale

...

You seem to be incapable of reading anon.
By your logic I'm a plant because I'm a Eukaryote.
>>
>>5040363
>They aren't an issue because they are just as bad as the all-pervasive silica dust
>They aren’t an issue because they are just as bad as this other thing that is an issue
All you’ve done is demonstrate that silica is also an issue, not that microplastics aren’t an issue. Never mind that they’re issues in entirely different ways
>I did though
You didn’t. You can’t even describe how you did because you didn’t read the paper
>"Dolphins belong to the families Delphinidae (the oceanic dolphins), along with the river dolphin families Platanistidae (the Indian river dolphins), Iniidae (the New World river dolphins), Pontoporiidae "
And all of those families are within the toothed whales. Did you not read the part where it states they’re whales?
>"As an informal and colloquial grouping, they correspond to large members of the infraorder Cetacea, i.e. all cetaceans apart from dolphins and porpoises."
You just tried to use a taxonomic basis as reasoning for why orcas aren’t whales, now you’re trying to use a colloquial definition. Which is it?
>”The two parvorders of whales, baleen whales (Mysticeti) and toothed whales (Odontoceti), are thought to have had their last common ancestor around 34 million years ago. You just cut this off right before it says “as well as the six families of dolphins and porpoises”. You know you are incorrect and just don’t want to admit it. There is no taxonomic grouping that includes humpback whales and sperm whales but excludes dolphins

>All you’ve done is demonstrate that silica is also an issue
Silica dust is pervasive, inert and breathed in by everybody no matter how perfect your life is. Also provably responsible for millions of deaths.
There is no provable link between microplastics and any deaths.
So you're worrying way too much about nothing essentually.
>You didn’t.
I did.
>>5040366
>And all of those families are within the toothed whales.
Toothed whale doesn't mean Delphinidae are Physeteridae
Eukaryote doesn't mean plants are animals.
You're not very smart anon.
One day you will figure it out.

>>5040360
Umm, autistic samefaggging.
>>
>>5040366
>You just cut this off right before it says “as well as the six families of dolphins and porpoises”.
What does it actually say?
Oh...
"as well as the six families of dolphins and porpoises which are not considered whales in the informal sense."
>>
>>5040372
> There is no provable link between microplastics and any deaths
Cool. That has nothing to do with what I said about endocrine disruption. Also there is evidence to suggest they can have an impact on heart health and increase the risk of a life threatening heart attack, so I wouldn’t say that so confidently
>Toothed whale doesn't mean Delphinidae are Physeteridae
>Eukaryote doesn't mean plants are animals
Delphinidae and Physeteridae are both within Odontocetes. Plantae is not within Animalia. Either you are stupid to think these are comparable or intentionally dishonest
>>5040376
>informal sense
Is it informal or taxonomic retard? If it’s informal then killer whales are informally referred to as whales, they’re not called killer dolphins. If it’s taxonomic then dolphins are toothed whales. Any way you try spin it an orca is a whale
>>
>>5040378
>Cool. That has nothing to do with what I said
It invalidates everything you've ever said.
>Delphinidae and Physeteridae are both within Odontocetes
Aha, so Delphinidae aren't Physeritidae.
>Plantae is not within Animalia
Plantae and Animalia are both within Eukarya so Plantae aren't Animalia...
>Is it informal or taxonomic retard
Taxonomically dolphin isn't a synonym of whale.
Informally dolphin isn't a synonym of whale.
They actually mean different things anon.
>>
>>5040380
>It invalidates everything you've ever said
Hmm yes very convincing
>Aha, so Delphinidae aren't Physeritidae
Wow you really are retarded. Nobody said that. I said there’s no grouping that includes humpbacks and sperm whales while excluding dolphins. That has literally no bearing on what I said
>Plantae and Animalia are both within Eukarya so Plantae aren't Animalia...
Plantae aren’t Animalia, but Plantae and Animalia are both within Eukarya. The same way Physeteridae aren’t Delphinidae, but both Physeteridae and Delphinidae are Odontocetes. I understand this is hard for a helmet wearing troglodyte like yourself but please try real hard
>Taxonomically dolphin isn't a synonym of whale
Taxonomically a dolphin is a type of whale
>They actually mean different things anon
It is apparent that you don’t actually care about what is correct and just refuse to acknowledge when you’re wrong. But please by all means keep demonstrating how bad at this you are
>>
>>5040382
>Hmm yes very convincing
Watch out guys! we're all going to die from the microplastics!!!
>Wow you really are retarded. Nobody said that
You're literally saying that.
You're saying Dolphins are whales because taxonomically dolphins are a subset of the toothed whales.
Some toothed whales are wales, others are dolphins.
>Plantae aren’t Animalia
Yep, and Delphinidae aren't Physeritidae.
>Taxonomically a dolphin is a type of whale
No, it's a type of toothed whale.
Other toothed whales are wales.
>It is apparent that you don’t actually care
I do. You're just too stupid unfortunately.
>>
>>5040384
>You're saying Dolphins are whales because taxonomically dolphins are a subset of the toothed whales
Which is true. That’s an entirely different statement to Delphinidae and Physeteridae being the same thing
>Yep, and Delphinidae aren't Physeritidae
And both of those are Odontocetes
>No, it's a type of toothed whale
>Other toothed whales are wales
Is this your first time dealing with taxonomy? You don’t seem to grasp it very well
>You're just too stupid unfortunately
Projection
>>
Can we all just admit 'climate change' is a cult by this point?
>>
>>5040386
>Which is true. That’s an entirely different statement to Delphinidae and Physeteridae being the same thing
It's actually the exact same statement...
>And both of those are Odontocetes
Which doesn't make Delphinids and Physeritids the same.
>Is this your first time dealing with taxonomy? You don’t seem to grasp it very well
The words dolphin, whale and toothed whale mean different things anon. You're too stupid to understand that.
>Projection
Nope. You are too stupid to understand this.
>>5040387
It is a cult, agreed.
>>
>>5040388
>It's actually the exact same statement...
Explain what grouping includes humpback whales and sperm whales but excludes dolphins
>Which doesn't make Delphinids and Physeritids the same
It makes them both Odontocetes, the same way plants and animals are both Eukaryotes
>The words dolphin, whale and toothed whale mean different things anon. You're too stupid to understand that
Dolphins are one group of toothed whales, toothed whales are one group of whales. You are too stupid to understand that
Also
>>5040380
>>5040384
>>5040388
>Physeritidae
If you’re gonna pretend to know what you’re talking about you can at least spell it right. You’re not doing a very good job at this
>>
>>5040391
>Explain what grouping includes humpback whales and sperm whales but excludes dolphins
whales...
>It makes them both Odontocetes
which means Delphinids aren't Physeritids.
>Dolphins are one group of toothed whales
Very good little boy. And that means the non-dolphin toothed whales are just whales.
>If you’re gonna pretend to know what you’re talking
?
Bovidae - Family name
Bovid - A single member of the the Bovidae family
Bovids - More than one member of the Bovidae family.

This is standard usage anon...
>>
>>5040398
>whales...
And that taxonomic group is…?
>which means Delphinids aren't Physeritids
Now you’re just embarrassing yourself
>And that means the non-dolphin toothed whales are just whales
And dolphin toothed whales are also whales, keep up tourist
>This is standard usage anon...
I’m not talking about the suffixes retard. You really are illiterate
>Physeteridae not Physeritidae
>Physeterid not Physeritid
>Physeterids not Physeritids
>>
>>5040400
>And that taxonomic group is
Whales are everything outside of Delphinoidea, Platanistidae, Iniidae and Pontoporiidae but still within Cetacea.
>Now you’re just embarrassing yourself
Delphinids aren't Physeritids autismos.
>I’m not talking about the suffixes retard.
Oh right, you're talking about a spelling error that I'm going to forever repeat because it triggers your autism Mr Physeritid.
>>
>>5040400
>And dolphin toothed whales are also whales
No they aren't. They're dolphins.
You're making the words whale and toothed whale meaningless by treating them like synonyms.
>>
>>5040403
>Whales are everything outside of Delphinoidea, Platanistidae, Iniidae and Pontoporiidae but still within Cetacea
That’s not how taxonomy works. There is no picking and choosing. Platanistidae are closer to beaked whales then they are to oceanic dolphins, where are you drawing the line? There is no taxonomic group that includes humpbacks and sperm whales but excludes dolphins
>Delphinida aren't Physeritids autismos
Nobody said they are, but you’re too stupid to understand that
>you're talking about a spelling error that I'm going to forever repeat because it triggers your autism Mr Physeritid
This is what I meant when I said you don’t care about what’s correct and just want to refuse to admit you could be wrong about anything
>>5040403
>You're making the words whale and toothed whale meaningless by treating them like synonyms
I’m not treating them as synonyms. I am treating dolphins as a subset of toothed whale. Which they are. That’s like saying that wolves are canids is treating wolf and canid as synonyms
>>
>>5040408
>That’s not how taxonomy works.
"Dolphin" and "Whale" aren't taxonomic classifications...
Which is something you haven't realized yet.
If you want to force dolphins into a
monophyletic group The closest fit is delphinida which contains delphinidae and Inioidea.
>Nobody said they are
You're literally saying they are by calling dolphins whales. When you should be calling dolphins toothed wales or Odontoceti.
>This is what I meant when I said
Mr Physeritid Mr Physeritid
>I’m not treating them as synonyms
You're literally using them as synonyms.
>>
>>5040416
>”Dolphin" and "Whale" aren't taxonomic classifications...
But you literally just said “Whales are everything outside of Delphinoidea, Platanistidae, Iniidae and Pontoporiidae but still within Cetacea” when I asked what taxonomic group contains humpbacks and sperm whales but excludes dolphins. You’ve just realised that there is no taxonomic basis for your argument
>You're literally saying they are by calling dolphins whales. When you should be calling dolphins toothed wales or Odontoceti
I am saying dolphins are toothed whales. I am also saying that toothed whales are whales. Not sure what’s so hard to understand about that
>You're literally using them as synonyms
You’re literally retarded if you think you’re convincing anyone by saying that. It’s ok to admit when you’re wrong man, your dad isn’t gonna enter your room and beat your ass for it
