>>5041826I've only had African Pygmy Hedgehogs and they go to insane lengths to avoid poop and will even back their asses up to their cage bars to poop outside of their cage or even attempt to hide their poop underva paper towel and roll up the paper towel in an attempt to clean up their poop and pee before I find it.When I find it, they get absolutely mortified and self conscious and have to be consoled by petting them for about an hour. It could be because they're female and think I'm their father because they have no problem dropping a duece in front of my girlfriend, but will panic and try to hide it the moment I walk in the room. It's funny as Hell. They also will pout for hours on end if I don't pick them up and spend time talking to them, petting them in their cuddle pouches, or letting them chew on my hair. The male hedgehog I had was never this sociable, but that could have been due to my ignorance about hedgehog personalities back then. I had him before I knew much about them. He must have been happy though because he also chewed on my hair and would let me hold and pet him. He was a good boy. Loved his wheel.
