What's the coolest animal you've seen in the wild? For me it was seeing a tarantula hawk actually fighting a tarantula. The tarantula got away but it was still really cool seeing them in action. A wild tarantula and a wild hawk at the same time

Bald eagle death-spiral mating dance thing. In Philadelphia, of all places. Last year. Shortly after the Iggles won the Superb Owl.

Jaguar in the Amazonian jungle.

>not necessarily the coolest animal i've seen, but the coolest /an/ related thing i've seen is a pike snatch out of the air a swallow flying over the water surface to drink
it's not so uncommon apparently
>>

>Iguana skittery-skattery running on wet floor tiles, looking like a tex avery cartoon
>cat sitting on his ass, on a couch like a english bloke would
>guinea pig being really happy and jumping everywhere
>iridescent dragonflies fucking in midair
>swan mom carrying swan babies on her back mothership style

A hornet mimic hoverfly. The disguise works on wasps but it's kinda silly, the fly is completely defenseless. The sound it makes while flying sounds like a "soft hornet" and the flying style is completely off. It'd be interesting to see how an actual hornet reacts to seeing one.

I've seen dolphins and orcas in the local bay. Some of the dolphins even jumped out of the water. I saw a baby seal on the beach once. Kept my distance and phoned the RSPCA to monitor it, not sure what happened.
One time saw a group on wild deer up close when I was walking near the woods at sunrise.
I saw a red squirrel in a tree once.

Oh yeah and I once saw a seal at the mouth of a local river sitting on rocks partially submerged and looking around. Didn't get to enjoy it long though because some shithead was walking his dog off the lead and it ran into the water and scared it off.
