>>5043644Never imagined that such a thing could be, since I've never seen a Turkey Vulture at less than about 500 feet up, often as they're seen around here July thru Sept. (When a big bird shadow flashes across your lawn & garden it's almost certainly one at that time of year.) Disappointingly few of them around where I live this year, compared to last, when I witnessed a gathering of about 70 of them about 1500 feet up, riding thermals generally NE, for some reason, at exactly the same time of year. Until reading this I had no idea that they had that kind of longevity.
