What do miniature poodles think about all day? Do they ponder their poodley nature? Do they think about how they're smaller than standard poodles but larger than toy poodles? Do they even have the higher level thinking necessary to ponder such deep questions?

Smaller dogs have inferior executive functioning even if they're good at obedience (which dogfags mistake for intelligence)

At their level of deformity, they might not be that much more conscious than a cat.

Executive functioning is also known as "consciousness" in the human experience.

No. They are fucking neurotic.

Retard.

Yes. It is. Executive function is conscious control of your own mind. No executive function = not a conscious human being. You're an automaton with a self recognition algorithm.

>Oh no a URL
What's wrong? Own a dog that isn't conscious?

>At their level of deformity
Miniature poodles are 10-15 pounds. They're hardly deformed.

the average weight of a natural dog that has not encountered manmade dysgenics programs is 40-60lb

No. It. Is. Not. Executive functioning works as an extension of conciousness but is not "conciousness" itself. You can have heavily diminished executive functioning and still be concious.
>t. anon who works for a living with people who suffer with executive function difficulties

consider some critical thinking instead of just parroting blogposts for grade school teachers

You may think they are conscious, but they are not as conscious as a normal human. They are in an animal state of partial, degraded consciousness. Those who lack executive functioning are literally less conscious. Their brain is simply less aware of itself.

Essentially you know what it is like to meet an animal that possesses language and slightly more consciousness than normal.

Unless they have neurological development problems, the brain is still concious even with diminished executive functioning. Executive functioning is the literal executive action that comes from the brain acting on the conciousness. So if that layer of processing is damaged that does not mean the conciousness is. For instance a person may have executive functioning when it comes to processing previous conversation. They will understand, process and particapate fully concious. However, if you ask them a few hours later or a day or two about that conversation they may know it happened, the subject as well as the outcome, but may not know when, who or the specifics of that conversation. They were concious, but their executive functioning fails.

So like an animal?
>>
>>5044071
No. Unless there is a cause to stunt or halt neurological development to such a primitive point, a person who suffers with executive functioning will still have a conciousness that is positively alien to an animal's in terms of raw complexity.

The point is this: Poodles are fucked not because they are less concious with executive functioning, they are fucked because on a neurological level they are butchered genetically.

I will put it like this, if your conciousness itself does not work, there is no hope in hell your executive functioning is going to help. That's the root of the problem.

Poodles are generally healthy, sweet, and well mannered beasts. I'm disgusted that a thread about poodles turned into such a hateful mess.

I have known two miniture poodles first hand for almost 20 years. I also have known two half miniture poodles with verified ancestry for 3 years. They are fucking neurotic. They are unstable and hit the wall health wise past the age of 10 and grow a metric fuck ton of tumors if they don't become blind and/or deaf first. They are some of the most reactive dogs I have ever had the misfortune of knowing and I have just as much experience with sighthounds which is saying something when a breed is more reactive than a whippet or a greyhound.
