Oh my g*d... What the fuck dude...
>>5047105the sheep from alien: earth really impressed some hollywood folks and got another role?
Please don't tell me you are the same dude that's been constantly making posts about this documentary since it dropped. If that's not (you), then I'm interested in listening to your thoughts about it.Are you a vegan? Or was this your fist jump into the subject?
>>5047109>Please don't tell me you are the same dude that's been constantly making posts about this documentary since it dropped."guys watch out it's poopshitfart schizo!" type shit
>>5047109It got too preachy at the end imho. Should've just shown you what happened and let you make up your own conclusions at the end.
>>5047111I guess that's a yes then
>>5047112To me it's a good way for normies to really see how cruel the industrialization of cattle really is.I'm from Argentina, except from massive chicken farms, most of our meat production comes from extensive farms where aninals are fed mostly grass and are able to forage their own food in both native and implanted pastures. When I found out how massive milk farms in the USA worked, I qas shocked and kind of understood why vegans criticize vegetarians as bland, because sometimes it's worse to have an animal live in the same 4 square meters their whole life rather than killing them at the age of 15 months. And yea, maybe it's too preachy, but that's not a problem if you have the slightest sense of critical thinking.I'm not a vegan, but seeing how things are done in the rest of the world, I can't help but understand them.
>>5047154>And yea, maybe it's too preachy, but that's not a problem if you have the slightest sense of critical thinking. It just undermines itself as an artistic work and it's messaging. Most the runtime, it's presented as this cold, hard facts only documentary (which IMO works for its message) and then all of a sudden it just spits out this sermon about how "meat industry le bad! animals have feelings too!", as if it wasn't made clear to you in the literal 2 hours of runtime showing all the carnage going on there. A simple silent montage of the animals shown in the film in normal conditions would work better both artistically and giving the viewer a moment to think. Or just simply ending once they've shown and told you everything.
>>5047281Good point, I see why you'd find it annoying.
>>5047154When you have 350 million people to feed, great grandad's little red barn farm doesn't cut it anymore.
>>5047322americans eat 4x more meat than they need to for health and throw away 1/5-1/4th o the meat they producethe dairy industry is flat out unneeded. dairy is a luxury good, not a human right.
>>5047326Figures a brownoid would be against dairy.
>>5047105The book was better
>>5047154There isn't enough land on Earth to meet the food needs of the planet - especially if everyone switched to vegetarian - which is why industrialized farming is used instead of "natural" farming. In the 1800's, environmentalists predicted that everyone would starve if the planet reached a billion people. In the 1970's, environmentalists predicted everyone would starve if the planet reached 5 billion people. There are currently 8 billion and counting, and food production is at an all time high. You are welcome.
>>5047421I mean I'm not gonna turn vegan/vegetarian, but surely these industrial farms can be handled better. Like, actually making sure that 30% of the lifestock doesn't die from diseases and not making them go through terrifying and slow agonizing deaths.
all vegan documentaries are poorly argued >>5047421not my fault browns breed like vermin
>>5047570Yeah, but it's not going to happen anytime soon.
>>5047570The biggest problem is the "free market" system applied to foodEvery supermarket must be stocked with competing meat brands and must never run out of any of themThe end result is they order way too much meat. Producers are stressed and forced to overproduce. Food is wasted at every point. As usual, ideological purity fucks us over.>BUT DOING ANYTHING ELSE IS GOMMUNISM AND THE TOTAL END OF ALL LIBERTY BECAUSE U HATH TO BE ETHICULLY CONTHITHTENT -literally any useless navel gazing faggot at any point in time
>>5047105Jurassic world dominion is bad but over hated
>>5047893It's just money. Ideology is forced top down and 'compromised' all the time. Ideology is a spook.
