actually i just did some research and i was wrong, I thought poor people had more children in america but its more complicated than that.first of all hispanic women have the most children, and secondly, youll find a more meaningful difference in rates based on culture and location, so obviously people in south dakota have nearly twice as many children as those in vermont. the fertility rates by income dont say much, because while ironically the richest people (500k income and above) do have the most children, they also represent a very low amount of the population. It seems the fertility "problem" is with the middle class. Poorest people are still slightly above average in fertility rates compared to middle class, but not nearly as high as the richest people
