My hedgehog made a weird high pitched barking noise to get my attention. The scenario...Hedgehog is in his cuddle pouch enjoying being petted. I stop for a bit and let him chill, because he likes that too.After about a half hour he pops his head out of his pouch and stares at me pointedly. I don't notice. Out of seemingly nowhere a loud high pitch barking type sound is emitted from his pouch. I look over and his head is popped out and he has this shit eating grin on his face. Like...yeah. I did that. Pay attention. Turned out he wanted his food, so I put him in his cage and went straight for his food dish.The barking noise surprised me. He's very vocal and makes a ton of different sounds, but this was new and it's use to get my attention was even more surprising. Has anyone else ever heard of hedgehogs doing this?

Other weird shit he does...Huffles angrily when I stop petting him.Chuffles and chirps happily when my girlfriend lets him sleep in his cuddle pouch on her chest.Stares at me when he wants pets until I put him in his pouch for pets.Pouts if he gets left alone for longer than his nap or wheel time. He will fucking sit there moping and looking all dejected until I take him out.He watches television...typically anything with heroic sounding music. He seems to love violent anime and capeshit. He also happily sits in my hands and looks around or even naps in my hand. He shows almost no fear at all and is not at all antisocial or grumpy.
