>>
Does horse taste good?

I've heard it's mostly like cow but leaner.
Wouldn't eat it though. Horse is for hug.

>>

I assume the fluff really isn't enough. Even if you have a hairy ass, you'd still like some cushioning on your seat, and that probably goes both ways.

>>
Is horse racing evil? Do they abuse the horses?
>>
>>5053185
Not inherently but there are a lot of owners who use abusive practices. Racing is hard on horses, and some owners will throw away horses that can no longer race. Sometimes they will use "broodmares" where they pump out foal after foal from a horse, destroying her body, and take away these foals way too early which is traumatic. Broodmares are also often thrown away as soon as they can no longer conceive. There's no shortage of nasty practices like these.
>>
>>5053185
it's like any animal competition, humans will disregard animal comfort in pursuit of victory. some places/leagues ban whips and other kinds of abuse, but it's never totally above board, there's always some abusive practice they're yet to regulate/ban.
>>
>>5053185
The money pressure and all the inhuman health fuckery involved makes it evil.
Recreational racing between friends? No big deal.

The color mixing/usage is very good.
>>
>>5056260
I'd also recommend putting a base coat of thinned white before painting. It gives you some bulk to mix on the canvas easier. Then if you keep sections wet, its easier to blend edges. I never learned to mix and apply colors that well.

Fun fact: geldings actually need to have their sheaths washed much more frequently than stallions because stallions keep their private parts clean by, well, using them. I don't remember the exact details but the basic gist of it is, by letting it hang there is less opportunity for dirt etc to gather in the sheathe (skin gets stretched out = no wrinkles = no place for gross stuff to grow), plus some of it is rubbed off during mating.

The car contains the mechanism to turn the horse power into dyno spins. It also has a reduction gear, and the engineering team calculated the physics of the setup to make sure its accurate.

>The car contains the mechanism to turn the horse power into dyno spins
anon you only need to wrap the rope around the dyno's drum to do that
>It also has a reduction gear
this isn't necessarily a good thing. much like an engine, a horse likely has a particular velocity at which it develops maximum power. it's about impedance you see
>>
>>5059135
Fuck off no hooves poser
>>
>>5059290
While it's possible to wrap a rope around the dyno, that probably requires anchoring it and modifying the drum, which would be very expensive. It isn't their dyno. Trailer mounted dynos are easily $60-100k+, and it's only one video.

The dyno is probably also calibrated for specific use with tires riding on top. It's much cheaper to pull the engine from a car and build the mechanism into that. Plus with the known variables of the gear system, the engineers were able to compensate for mechanical losses.

I'm sure the gear system also let them tune it a little bit for the horses ideal speed.

They are prey animals but also extremely large. They end up in a niche where a very strong, useful, and trainable animal is also very gentle and funny. Horses are also very skittish. Automobiles made horses obsolete, so only people passionate about them are attracted to the hobby.

It hasn't even been a hundred years ago since pretty much every household NEEDED a horse in order to survive. Horses have played an integral part in human societies for literally thousands of years. They ploughed fields for peasants, carried soldiers to war and were status symbols for royalty. They have evolved alongside us like dogs and cats and cattle. Is it REALLY that strange that some people in modern times would be fond of horses? Hell in some parts of the world, work horses are making a comeback as alternatives to modern machinery (they don't do as much damage to the ground as heavy vehicles) as well as a growing interest in homesteading. Plus many horse breeds are classified as cultural heritage and have cool and interesting histories to them, which makes them really neat from an anthropological standpoint.

Pretty curves. They have personality, especially with how they are wired for their herd and being very trainable and willing through that. Just look at Sargent Reckless and the stories and accomplishments she did.
They are a nice in-between of dogs that have been bred to shit and can't function without you, and cats that can be independent to the point of just tolerating you as a food dispenser and a petting machine. Does perfectly fine on the field, could kick the shit out of you, but you have treats and scritches for starters and just nice company, so you are a friend and indirect part of the herd. It just feels deeper, with more substantial agency of their own, than dogish attachment love to me.
Oh well, that turned more rambling than I planned.

>They might be a pretty eco friendly way to drive electrical generators
you're better off burning the hay in a power plant. animals are terribly inefficient. where the horse shines today is that it's somewhat intelligent and doesn't damage the ground, as >>5059503 says. for example, a horse is very useful for selective logging. think about what you'd need to do to get the same kind of traction in as slim of a package, without tearing up the ground. you need tracks at the very least. but tracks can still slip in a way hooves won't. you need to be able to swerve between trees, which the horse does naturally and also their bodies are bendy. plus you can pet the horse and it'll be happy
downside is horses are a lot of work to keep and you get sad when they die
>>
>>5059655
Correct, horses can navigate terrain that's too steep or narrow for machinery. Apparently some areas are also starting to use work horses because of reduced noise, in fact I live close to a city that instead of using a lawnmower hire a horse-drawn haymaker to cut grass in the local park for pretty much that exact reason. And also because horses are, well, cute.
Found a video of both big horses and little shetlands doing some logging, it's pretty interesting.

Is breeding mules the ultimate cuckoldry?

I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than breeding a mule. Honestly, think about it rationally. You are feeding, clothing, raising and rearing a filly for at least 4 years solely so she can go and get ravaged by a donkey. All the hard work you put into your beautiful little filly - reading her stories at bedtime, making her go to race practice, making sure she had a healthy diet, educating her, playing with her. All of it has one simple result: her body is more enjoyable for the donkey that will eventually fuck her in every hole.

Raised the perfect foal? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, a random donkey who had nothing to do with the way she grew up, who marries her. He gets to fuck her tight pussy every night. He gets the benefits of her kind and sweet personality that came from the way you raised her.

As a man who has a filly, you are LITERALLY dedicating 4-6 years of your life simply to raise a foal for a donkey to enjoy. It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL cuck. Think about it logically.
>>

Eh, I think they mostly get dismissed because they are smaller than mules which means they are not as strong (even though they still have quite a bit of hybrid vigor going on) and also tend to be not as sociable due to being raised by a stoic donkey mama instead of an extroverted mare.
They are also not as easy to breed for because most stallions are, for some reason, not attracted to jennies even when they're in heat. Literally the "ugly knees, 2/10, would not bang" meme. There are also some fertility issues going on from the jenny's side in this cross but idk the specifics.
>>

Who would win in an actual fight between a horse and a cow? Physically, cows are not as frail as horses and have horns, but are much slower. Horses are fast and have powerful kicks but are also very delicate. Mentally, cows are not as smart as horses and can be easily tricked, but horses are more reactive and likely to choose flight over fight.
>>

I bet more than one stallion has messed with a bull and gotten the horns, would bet on the bull any day

>>5064301
>Don't forget how mules are proven to have higher intelligence and better problem solving skills than both horses and donkeys.

Not true. Mules are halfway in intelligence between Horses and Donkeys.
Donkeys on average live longer than mules that live longer than most horses.

eh, not really, it's more like they have different types of health problems than warmbloods. EasyCare Inc. Protective Hoofwear President Garrett Ford says manufacturing molds for draft horses are unfortunately expensive, which is why only a few products in their entire product line-up have sizes available for draft horses. Here is an example of a recent conversation he had with potential customers.

>Garrett Ford: The EasyShoe One Sticky is scheduled for release within the next 10 days. Over the next couple of days, I will highlight the shoe's distinctive features. #1. The glue surface area has been increased by 45%, resulting in tabs with 45% more surface area than the EasyShoe Octo. This enhancement promises improved retention. The initial release will cover sizes 110-146. Applied with less than $.50 of HoofLox Superglue and HoofLox Superglue Activator Spray. So economical!

Q: I really wish that you would include draft sizes in your releases. These type of horses need these shoes so much and yes, I know you have other products but we need to be included in new releases more often than not

A: Draft molds are expensive and sales to drafts owners are small.

>Garrett Ford: Imagine a groundbreaking hoof protection system, easily applicable and removable in seconds, positioned below the hairline. My passion project is nearing completion, with finalization in sight. Now to push to the finish line. It has been a challenging project with tight tolerances. If executed correctly, we will achieve a whole new category for the equine industry.

Q: Will this amazing system cater for larger breeds? I have a Clydesdale

A: To be honest it will take time to get to larger sizes. It will be released in peak bell shaped curve sizes first. Sizes 118-134.

You best bet is finding a stronk draft horse like an american belgian, or a brabant, or an ardennais. Those are bred pretty much exclusively for heavy farm work and have muscles on muscles on top of their muscles.
Clydesdales and Shires are red herrings, sure they are taller and do farm work from time to time but are primarily bred for carriage driving. Though they may be an option if you are quite tall in addition to being fat.
>>
>>5069996
Yes, I'm 2m tall and around 120kgs. I thought you couldn't actually mount draft horses though, am I just wrong about that?
All I want is to like stroll around in a circle for a few minutes just to see how it feels, whenever I had the chance to mount I always denied it afraid of hurting them

Horses should be treated with more respect. Bring back the death penalty for horse thieves. Then adjust the rest of the judicial system around this standard.

you sound like an easy keeper, so you'll want to make sure 80-100% of your forage is grass hay with reduced energy density, such as bermuda grass, teff, timothy, or orchardgrass

Draft horses can definitely be ridden, in fact there is something of a draft boom going on because of their ability to carry heavy riders. If all you wanna do is "stroll around in a circle for a few minutes jut to see how it feels", I'm sure you can find a chill muscle honse that will let you go for a leisurely little walk. Many draft horses easily weigh over 800+ kg which means your 120 kg should be well within the 20 % rule. The 20 % is a somewhat disputed (in both directions) but it is a decent guideline. That being said, losing weight is always a good thing when it comes to riding horses.
t. a fellow fatty who only just became "light" enough to ride my friend's irish cobs.

>>
>>5070052
Also if you do find a horse that can support your weight and enjoy the hobby, the more you ride horses the more likely you are to fall, and a fall injury will be much worse the fatter you are.

Bring back fat shaming.

>and a fall injury will be much worse the fatter you are.
Actually very low body fat coincides with higher injury rates in falls. Fat absorbs impact energy.
