>>5053185Not inherently but there are a lot of owners who use abusive practices. Racing is hard on horses, and some owners will throw away horses that can no longer race. Sometimes they will use "broodmares" where they pump out foal after foal from a horse, destroying her body, and take away these foals way too early which is traumatic. Broodmares are also often thrown away as soon as they can no longer conceive. There's no shortage of nasty practices like these.
