I need to know what are the most monogamous birds out there. The ones who cannot live when their partner dies, leaves, etc.I am thinking of crows, ravens and owls. And swans
>>5054858Bird monogamy is a bit of a myth. Most are serially monogamous, which means they have a mate per season. Others "divorce" if they can't produce fertile offpring. And ALL of them cheat on their partner
>>5054864Are you a jew by chance?
>>5054864>And ALL of them cheat on their partnerduh, faithfulness is a human construct. they stay with their partner to raise their kids, and they will bone other birds if they get the opportunity to cuck a competitor. for a female, 2 males means better chances of fertility, spreading her genes no matter what material gets used or what male helps raise the kids. doesnt really make them non monogamous as they generally stay with one partner maintaining one nest.
>>5054909fucking whores...
>>5054858You already mentioned them, ravens are probably the most monogamous bird species out there. I also remember reading that pigeons are actually pretty monogamous? Not sure how true that is though.and Swans aren't entirely monogamous IIRC, while they mostly pair bond they are also known to cheat or break up.Raven couples are cute, they like to play with each other a lot
>>5054906>"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO S-TOP TELLING ME FACTS B-BIRDS MATE FOR LIFE AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH A NUCLEAR FAMILY UNTIL THEY DIE OF OLD AGE YOU'RE JEWISH YOU'RE JEWISH YOU'RE JEWISH!"lol
>>5054919uh oh, rabbi is having a melty.
>>5054999Trips, I think you're right. Birds being strictly monogamous is very important for how humans are constructing their world view and morality around relationships and marriage
