why are homesteaders always murdering their non-human family members
>>
>>5055484
>9 year old
I can’t imagine it tasting especially good. Was it already going to die?
>>
>>5055484
9 years is pretty good. If the cow was any younger I would be concerned. It's putting down your cat and then getting a meal out of it afterwards
>>
>>5055484
I feel there has to be something wrong with a person that can eat an animal they treated as an actual pet.
It's different butchering cow #187189, though still unpleasant. It's even less connected and more sane to just hunt a deer. But to kill something you treat as a pet and consume it, it feels like it's just a lesser form of the psychosis needed to kill and eat another person.
>>
Why do vegan schizos shit up /an/ 24/7 whenever anti-dog schizo isn't console warring 24/7 and trying to systematically kill /dog/?

Why does the dinosaur feather/cladism denial schizo shit up /an/ 24/7 when vegan schizos are absent?

Why does this shit seem to occur on a schedule?

And many other questions.

All veganism bullshit belongs on >>>/his/

>>5055574
Because it is a cow. "Pet" isn't a meaningful title. It's like asking how someone can just crush a rock that was in their yard for 10 years or harvest a fully grown cherry tree for its wood. The "dog and man" or "cat and man" relationship you think is implied by "pet" is not there and can not really be there because cows are contemptible and borderline mindless beasts that are nearly impossible to feel bad for if you are not a mental case (ie: autistic/mid sociopath).

It may surprise you but people who feel excessive amounts of empathy for animals - all animals, not just a few that were literally selectively bred to force people to want to care for them like cats - are actually closer to the psychosis required for cannibalism and are often autistic and mildly sociopathic. It also strongly correlates with narcissistic personality disorder (autism often does). Normal people have been killing and eating cows since the dawn of civilization. Their purpose is the fact of their existence. Written into their DNA. No matter what, it's a cow. You might be able to fool yourself over the course of one cow's life but if you have many you will quickly realize the soul has been surgically removed from the aurochs and they're not valuable.

Unless you are autistic.
>>
>>5055484
No different than "harvesting" an apple. So it goes.....
>>
>>5055574
Then you would've never survived for 99.9999999% of all of human history. If you're gonna eat meat, there is no better way than this. Both parties respected the other and gave each other a better life than being apart. The shit in the stores is absolute poison.
>>
>processed
huh?
>>
>>5055593
The early stages of cattle domestication must have been brutal though, unless they found the cow version of messi the puma in the wild

Aurochs made bison look like sissies
>>
>>5055596
Butchered, slaughtered, etc
>>
>>5055587
a steer is not a cow
>>
>vegan faggot thread

>rancher, male: Just killed a 9 year steer. Boy was I hungry. Here’s the sausages I made. Habanero garlic with monterey jack. Yum.
>rancher, female: Henlo frens! Its with a heavy heart that [words words words] like i totally dont like normally do this but [words words words] heres a picture of me and the steer before i killed it [words words words] Cya next time ;)

If you hang it long enough the meat will be relatively tender. Tougher than store bought shit, but definitely palatable. Old cow is very flavorful and a lot of people prefer it over younger meat.

If it is too tough you can just grind jt all up and get incredible ground beef. Not ideal, but it is still very nutritious food.
>>
>>5055621
>your other
stupid schizo
>>
>>5055500
>and then getting a meal out of it afterwards
I guess some would think it's a great way to finally become one and always have them be a part of you
>>
Why do meat is murder fags come to a nature board when nature is all life consuming life and murder means the inappropriate killing of a person, and animals are not people

cows smell like shit and have a permanent case of piss and shit streaking down their backside
one of the most disgusting animals I've ever seen. they just constantly piss and shit themselves wherever they are standing
>>
>>5055629
some cultures do this with human dead
>>
It's one thing to slaughter an animal and an entirely different thing to build an emotional connection to one then slaughter it.
>>
>>5055733
Most humans will naturally form some sort of bond or connection with an animal they spend time caring for everyday, especially if it's one of their only cows.

>people.... eat things?
>>
what happens in India when a cow dies?
because they don't eat them, right?
>>
>>5055762
Now it just rots, because they killed all their vultures.
>>
>>5055599
I suppose it helps to raise them from birth and select for the most docile. I think the first "cattle" were domesticated in Anatolia and were fairly small, spotty things like you see in Egypt, while the Aurochs and Buffalo-type bovine were farther north.

The most badass "cow" of them all is the India Gaur. They look like they are on 100lbs of steroids, have massive horns and regular kill tigers. Tibet Yaks are pretty badass too.
>>
>>5055607
I'm a Vegetarian and even I can't stand Vegans.

I don't eat meat, but if you're going to, try to raise it yourself, or go hunting & fishing. We have plague numbers of deer and pigs that could feed millions with the best meat in the world.
>>
>>5055631
cow is dog
>>
>>5055587
>>5055593
I do genuinely believe that well-cared for cows make for better meat, I do know that to be the case.
But there is a difference between just not being a soulless factory farming zogbot and actually forming a bond with the animal like we do between pets. It's not about whether the animal is stupid, and it could veryeasily just wind up sperging out and killing you, but we are above animals. We are special, our psychology is higher. Killing this bond and consuming the animal is no right, it's not good for our minds.
>>
>>5055782
Most people that own livestock understand that the cycle is complete when the animal is parted out and in your freezer/consumed. Espscially for a steer. Also why the HELL did she have a steer for 9 years???

>>5055738
there is a normal emotional distance you keep from livestock
you are not going to treat it as a "pet"

the kind of people who don't make that distinction are the kidn who are found with decomposing human remains in their basement
>>
>>5055574
Eh, countryside folk have always had different standards compared to the civilized sensibilities. That's just how it is, they don't see anything wrong with killing pets, scamming customers, incest, pedophilia, etc. Morality is the civilized man's invention. When you live close to nature, you're akin to a beast yourself, dog eat dog world, etc.
>>
>>5055971
Yes they pretend to treat a cow like a family member, then one day killing it, watching the blood gush out from it's sliced open neck is perfectly normal and if you disagree you are a VEGAN LUNATIC.
