I think the first "cattle" were domesticated in Anatolia and were fairly small, spotty things like you see in Egypt, while the Aurochs and Buffalo-type bovine were farther north. The most badass "cow" of them all is the India Gaur. They look like they are on 100lbs of steroids, have massive horns and regular kill tigers. Tibet Yaks are pretty badass too.
