Bear attacks are on the rise in Japan
>Though this encounter wasn’t fatal, two bear attacks earlier this month took the death toll to 7 people so far this year, according to official data and local news reports – the highest annual toll since records began in 2006 [1]
>Hunters, once a common sight among the trees, are now older and fewer in number than before [2]

>bear population: small
>jap population: enormous
maybe the japanese should reduce their numbers and leave more space for bears
>>
>>5056769
This is divine penance for what they did to the Ainu.
>>
>>5056769
why couldn't this have been china instead
>>
>>5057373
any bear that enters a human settlement in china would get instantly killed and eaten
>>
Humans are a cancer, so it's good the Japanese are being driven away by bears. Hopefully this happens in Europe as well.

confirmed: japan to start issuing S&W model 29s to civilians

This is unbearable.
>>
>>5056769
ahh, golden kamuy- now there was a manga
>>
>>5057310
but the ainu torture and eat bears
>>
apparently the local governments pay a hunter a hundred bucks to remove problem bears
that doesn't sound lucrative
>>
>>5057873
authorization to fire even for the police is a sensitive issue in japan, so the preferred response to wildlife control matters was to contract hunters, who have their own main occupations and aren't going to be on standby 24 hours a day
and even then, there were times when hunters had their gun licenses revoked because they shot a bear in the general direction of a building
>>
>>5057860
I live near the woods in NJ and I sometimes go on walks and I've run into bears twice now in 6 months, stresses me the fuck out because they're not small
>>
>>5057920
Yeah I have bear spray I just don't bring it when I go outdoors much but I definitely think about it. I have this image of getting caught in the spray from wind and fucking myself up
>>
>>5057918
Get a gun. Never trust your life to a weapon that would blind you on a windy day. Bear spray is 0% on predatory attacks and isnt even 80% likely to deter a sow defending cubs. As long as you can shoot it, they’re 98% effective, and the 2% were out of shape boomers with revolvers. Magdumping 9mm +p+ hardcasts/solid coppers or literally any 10mm has worked every time. Just dont use a glock (jam prone shits). For me it’s the FN 510.
>>
>>5057409
Romanians are already being eaten by bears
>>
>>5057834
And the nips holocausted them and are now being eaten by the bears the Ainu no longer control. Soon the rice nigger population will be culled, and the Ainu people will flourish in the absence of their natural predators. Balance will be restored.

Gin wouldn't stand for this shit.
>>
>>5056769
>Oh my slop, 7 people died in a year? >That's crazy, total bear death now.
Damn... Weird how different the reaction is to people being run over by cars, shot, dying of workplace accidents...
>>
>>5057931
Mother bears are called sows in English? It literally comes from the indoeuropean word for pig, its for pigs only afaik, that being said what is the word for a mother bear? or did you just say that as an insult to them?
>>
>>5059675
>cars are necessary
>gun crime is the consequence of not doing eugenics
>work is necessary
Bears are not

Nature is always better without large mammalian predators other than man
>>
>>5059766
You dont even know the basics, you fucking moron
>>
>>5059767
>wolves and grizzlies removed from US: paradise
>lions, hyenas removed from europe: paradise
>all predators larger than a fox removed from britain: paradise
I’m seeing a pattern here.

Large carnivorous mammals are just shit.
>>
>>5059769
Brain dead. You aren't worth educating.
>>
>>5059772
>i have no argument
Removing bears makes life better for everyone involved including the other animals. Deal with it.
>>
>>5059983
Sow for females is correct, males are also called boars.
>>
>>5056769
>>5057299
These are just boring brown bears, not even cool looking bears like the sloth bear.
>>
>>5056769
Teach the bears to eat the Indians and Africans that are invading the aging Japanese population.
>>
>>5056769
>hunter shortage
Hunter lobbyist propaganda. Simple as.
>>
>>5057299
You'd think the nips would have learned this lesson already from the kami attacks.
>>
>>5057396
That's cheating though because that applies to any organism that enters a chink-occupied territory.
>>
>>5061302
>All this shit I didn't read
I know more about this subject than you ever will. Hunters will be exterminated.
>>
>>5061304
Hunters are ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY for ecosystem maintenance. All predators are. Man can not exist with anything that can eat him or his livestock so this is what happens when civilian outdoorsmanship dies:
1: Government-funded begins predator eradication again. Bears, wolves, killed without limits by government contractors. Without hunters, farmers and developers now rule.
2: Government begins organized, helicopter-shooting culls of herds of large prey animals and setting more traps and poison baits for any small ones that overpopulate (ie: coyotes and foxes)
3: Your life doesn't really change but if you live near the woods your pets will be accidentally poisoned
This can continue in perpetuity because ecosystems do not need a predator other than man, but they do need a predator. Civilian volunteers are not the only form that predator can take. They're just the one the people benefited from being because they could take the meat. The government will let it rot and take the taxpayers money.

Should have been the wolf and the government just higher in the pack. Should have hunted. Should have maintained your culture as individualistic and self reliant instead of cattle like and reliant on centralized big corp infrastructure. Now you're the cow and the government is the farmer. But at least you had time to theorize about some ethics that won't matter when the glowies pre-arrest you for antisemitism.
>>
>>5061307
>>5061308
Run your mouths all you want. Nature's resurgence is inexorable. You've already lost.
>>
>>5061309
Fewer hunters is a bad thing

The government will and does just kill the animals themselves. Usually more cruelly and sloppily than the shittiest hunters. And hunters fund conservation instead of draining the coffers.
>>
>>5061309
idk why people are wasting sense on this retard. she’s clearly an underage future crazy cat lady who mistook /an/ for PETA instead of the DNR and NPS.
