When you think about it, having half your body length/mass on your tail is really weird
>>
not really

It makes sense. Theropods had a better chance of catching their preys when they were chasing them face first, instead of being upright, their tails belanced their whole body

How come mammals choose all four limbs for locomotion while theropods decided early on "fuck forelimbs, gimme a big head instead"
>>
>>5059981
All dinosaurs evolved from a bipedal or close to bipedal ancestor. Mammals were not only quadrupedal, but borrowers and front heavy.

That's actually one of the great mysteries of megafaunal evolution.

>>5059990
That's not correct.

I believe that the shitty air quality of the early triassic post-great dying had something to do with it. if animals around that time wanted to live active lifestyles then they would be pressured into developing very efficient body plans, the oxygen levels around that time were critically low at 12% for reference. so bipedalism and an advanced respiratory system were a winning combo that stuck with the theropods all throughout their reign. it's also what allowed them to become gigantic too since they essentially had super charged highly efficient biology when the environmental conditions finally improved, and them becoming big is what allowed the sauropod theropod size arms race to begin. so ironically dinosaurs got big due to low oxygen levels instead of high oxygen levels like those retarded bait theories say.

Troodons could have developed civilization if they didn't go extinct.

>chinktroons can't even tell if Megaraptora are basal coelurosaurs, basal carcharodontosaurs or SISTER TO FREAKING EUTYRANNOSAURS
>they cannot tell if "compsognathids" are basal "coelurosaurs" or juvenile carnosaurs
>still no explanation about how a pretty confident therizinosaur have been found from freaking Hettangian strata
>Carnosauria in the nearly OG wider sense is pretty much proven by now

Nearly half century of maoist revisionist propaganda crumbling before our very eyes!

Based Trump!
