My hedgehog started with brown poop when I first acquired him. As is common, it turned green during his adjustment to his new environment and his dealing with quilling (baby hedgehogs lose their old quills and grow adult quills the way humans lose their baby teeth and grow adult teeth).

Gave him some bene-bac plus and changed his food to something healthier. After nearly a month it finally turned brown again. He's happy and doing well and I'm learning a lot from him.

Apparently he likes cuddles and is very clingy. If I don't retrieve him for pets, he pouts and really hams up looking sad. Then when I come to get him, he goes into his pouch so I can pick him up.

He also has a specific chirp he uses when trying to get my attention. It's a quiet double chirp. Like..."chirp, chirp". He also is potty trained. He never poops or pees in his pouch or on furniture. He will hold it in until he has access to his pooping tray or wheel. Then he will just unload. He's a neat and tidy little fella and hates messes, even going as far as to try to clean them up with his paper towels with varying degrees of success.
>>
He still does not like bathtime. He does, however, let me trim his nails without much fuss. He seems to have come to understand it makes it easier for him to run on his wheel, because he will sit there studying me as I do it and even present his feet to me to make it easier for me to trim his nails.

In his mannerisms, he's a lot more like a small primate than a hedgehog at times. He will wait before trying a new treat for me to tell him it's ok by pushing the treat closer to him and encouraging him to eat it.

Another oddity. He loves to climb and explore everything around him. None of my previous hedgies tried climbing anything.

He also likes nap time. He will fall asleep on my chest and stay there for hours while I watch tv or shitpost on 4chan. Sometimes he will watch as I type. Obviously he has no comprehension of written language, but he does show curiosity about what I'm doing.

He also tries to eat whenever I eat. Almost as if he's immitating me. He's an interesting little guy.

Schizo retard is back. Post a video of that behaviour or fuck off. Oh wait, you can't.

Hedgehogs have very poor eyesight. They can vaguely see shapes and movement but rely much, much more on smell and hearing.

this but less rude. I'd love to see your hedgehog doing these cute things.

They don't act like this. Even the weird "american" ones (actually pygmy hedgehogs). OP is deluded and/or shitposting.

Show a little class.
This isn't /pol/.

Kinda hard to catch animals doing stuff on a cell phone without doxxing yourself somehow, but I'll try to post something in a week or two. It will probably take that long just to record a proper clip.

Animals are like babies. They don't perform for camera usually and when they do stuff it's when THEY want to.

I'll be sitting on my couch and he'll randomly do his chirp, chirp to get my attention, for example. It's not like a constant thing. Just something he does when he wants my attention.

Like right now. He just burrowed into my chest for snuggles. Totally random. He was previously facing head first into his snuggle pouch.

>American
He's an African Pygmy Hedgehog.
They're a bit different, because they're bred to be domesticated pets here.
They're only semidomesticated though and can go feral if ignored or mistreated. That's why it's good to bond with them while they're young and gently encourage them to socialize with other hedgehogs and people.
They also hate loud noises or hissing sounds.
Anyway, I'm not the hedgie schizo you're all hung up on. Did he reject your advances, because your obsession with him seems kinda gay and cringe, kid.

Somehow this pic is upside down. I've noticed 4chan does that with some image files.

Just an estimate. Might take longer or shorter. I'm aware of the meme though. Kek

from what I understand:
>when taking a photo with a smartphone camera, they typically record which way up it was held in the image's metadata, telling devices which way up to display it rather than modifying the actual image
>metadata can also contain lots of other things, including potentially sensitive information (up to and including the geographical coordinates a photo was taken at, if the device is able and set to do so)
>this is obviously a big privacy/safety risk, so 4chan wipes the metadata on its copy of any image uploaded to the site
>images getting reset to the "default" orientation is an unfortunate side-effect of this, but probably not as inconvenient as risking leaking your home address if you're not careful

I'm not sure if op is him but even before 2020 there was a guy posting small dogs looking miserable and shitting themselves (actually screens from dog grooming videos) with a weird focus on poop, some may have not been screens though. Many posts were made in a similar manner, with the animal in a blanket/towel or on a puppy pad, with visible shit in the shot
It's a whole rabbit hole, sorry you were mistaken op
