Yes. Most fish do
>>5064640>but they always die for no apparent reason at about 20-22cm after living in perfect conditions for about 3 years...Fish have primitive immune systems despite being able to regrow anything.Mammas have ultra-advanced immune systems but aren't able to regrow much at all. There you go, basic biology.
Yup. I had one that lived so long in such a large tank, it wound up being about the size of a vitamix blender jar, not including its tail. It was twenty years ago yet I still remember how muscle-y the fucker felt when I had to give him away to another fish-guy because I was going to be away for a while, half a friggin year (fucking medicine), and didn't trust anyone to upkeep my tank. My pacus were the size of dinner plates.
>>5064640It's an Acanthicus species (probably adonis pleco). They get over 3 feet long. The common plecos you find at pet stores are mutts of different Pterygoplichthys species and maximum size is 2 feet.
