The raccs are capible of appreciating the beauty of nature
Raccs love jello

what if raccoons were the size of bears
>>5069124Maybe someday they can return
>>5069124Black bears are already just big raccoons.
What would the critter shop sell?
>>5069033What? How are cats relevant here? I just hate niggers.
>>5068335Anyone have that image of the EXTREMELY R O U N D raccoon sniffing the ground between its front paws?
>>5069190?
>>5069070Take a closer look at that snout
>>5069213What about it?
>>5069207Cute pic but not the one. It looked kinda like picrelIt was sniffing the ground and kinda bent back with its butt lifted upwards.
how feasible would it be to domesticate raccoons?
>>5069063realistically, how can you defeat this racc?too many iframes..
>>5069345Offer it something tasty as a peace offering. It's the only way.
>>5069207Wierd fat cat
>>5069322This racc?
>>5069442That's the one. Thanks.
Post moar bandists
>>5068335I have trapped five raccoons and drove them far away from my house so they dont get to my chickens. I imagine they are always incredibly confused when i let them out of the trap
>>5069345Rangespam, exhaust it's stamina
Fat or fluff?
>>5069827Must be how humans feel when elves teleport us away from their elf enclaves
one time I saved a raccoon trapped in an empty dumpster by leaning a big stick into it, I still feel happy when I think about it
>>5069864Both
>>5069981Thank u anon for helping the skittery bandits
Racc knows how to drive.
>>5070183where tf my uber driver taking me
Remember to thoroughly wash your raccs
>>5070298Thank you for the reminder! Washing the washbears is important.
He renounced the life of crime
I love the ones with these almost-albino coats. It's a separate condition, forgot the name.
>>5070787Ik they r called blond raccs idk the official term thi but they r cool
sniff sniff
have you ever experienced the joy of having a racc walk up to your window?
>>5071607It walked into my mudroom, he(?) stood perfectly still against the wall as if I couldn't see it unless he moved.
>>5070787Leucism
>>5071607Yes its a wonderful experience
There is a yearling coon who likes to rest on his back in my back yard, like a little fat man at th beach. I’ve seen him several times. You flip on the back porch light to go do the laundry or get something out of the freezer, and he’s laying there with his forelimbs flung out on either side of him looking at you. If I ever get a pic of him I’ll post it here as proof.I have no idea WTF he’s doing. Moonbathing, maybe.
I want to shake a raccoon's hand!
>raccoons don't actually wash their food they just dunk it water for textu-
>>5072998Washing washbear
>>5072349They have nice hands
>>5071953Based racc
It's happening
>>5073443no, don'tpleasenot another case of getting HUMAN'D
>>5073451The SMASHSLAMMING is inevitable
>>5069864big bones
i wish i had (more) racoons in my country :(
>>5074205Sorry coonfrien
>>5073443>raccoons are self domesticating>tfw can't import them in my country let alone keep them as petsThe only way would be emigrating to the US, and that ain't happening either.
>>5074205what's stopping you from importing enough raccoons into your country to establish a stable breeding population?
>>5070183He can't even SEE the ROAD. He is going to CRASH and FUCKING DIE because he's also too SMALL for the seatbelt.
>>5073491Why would it do that?
>>5069070Thats Scippie!
>>5075259Ye, wonderous critter, but why does he look so sad?
>>5074847good idea>:)
>>5069070They’re just so damn cute.
The long racc
>>5069074https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5qf9O6c20o
>>5068618The way it gasps for air always gets me
Delicis grapes
I know raccoons can eat basically anything but are there any foods I shouldn’t give them?
>>5076107I actually dont know? I know cat food is bad for them long term
>>5075259Scippie always looks like he's about to cry.
>>5072349I have, its very pleasant, very tiny leathery hands. They're agile too. One gave me a fist bump, the other just sat there with his hand layed in mine. They are very sweet animals.
>>5077371Its a uniquely beautiful experience having them trust you enough to eat from your hand 10/10 would reccomend
Henlo, racoon frens. I went on a walk this morning and I found these prints on a frosty board. They look like coon prints to me.Am I right? It was far enough away from my house that I think I could leave him some treats. What do these little guys like best?
>>5069033I like cats, dogs, raccoons, deer, bears, possems, bunnies, squirrels and most of all, foxes. People, on the other hand, are more miss than hit for me.
are cats and raccs brothers?
>>5078309100% raccoon printsthey like to kill chickens for fun, if you have chickens you have to make the coop raccoon-proof as well as hawk- and coyote-proof.hell my dad had a weasel get into his chickens and kill a few.
>>5078309Indeed the prints of a wonderful critter. My little cooners love grapes and nuts, but they are not picky
>>5078353In the streets, no, not usually, both kill each other on occasion, and are too skittish to be chill with each other most of the time. But people have gotten birds, mice and cats to hang around without the cat automatically going into murder mode, raccoons won't be too difficult.
Eepy racc
>>5079974truly raccoons have the souls of men
>>5079974he's just like me
>>5079974Why are raccoons unable to NOT cause mischief?
>>5079974Came here to post this.
>>5080132>Why are raccoons unable to NOT cause mischief?Because they have, by some miracle, survived on a natural instinct of >what if I did ________?And it apparently works out most of the time.
>>5080181>>5080132>>5079974Wonderful critters
>>5073443This was debunked btw
>>5080740Say it ain't so
>>5080902Yes and no, its a misleading headline. Basically, raccoons are adapting to urban conditions, but that doesn't mean they are "domesticated". So no smashed and slammed raccys thankfully.
Round winter critters
>>5072111STOP FIGHTING!!!
Guests of honor.
>>5081899Fat fucks
>>5083251NO THEY ARE NOT WE ARE JUST FUZZY FOR THE WINDER NOOOOO
>>5080982Adapting to living near humans is the first step to domestication and smashslammification
a coyote tore apart a raccoon outside my home last night :(
>>5080982Why would the urban environment select for shorter snouts, tho? I understand that when you move from foraging to raiding trashcans a long snout loses utility, but i don't see how it becomes disadvantageous to the point of being selected against
>>5083735RIP...
You know with their gripping capabilities, high intelligence, and quick breed cycle raccoons would be the an optimal animal for uplifting.
>>5084152Raccs would take over the world and enslave humanity if they were uplifted.
>>5069033>Cats out of NOWHEREfuck trash pandas.
>>5068442They are not stealing they are devout communists
>>5085223Me when i have to do anything
>>5084249I for one welcome our cuddly masked overlord.
>>5078353The cats I take care of and the local raccs are low level accepting of each other but not bros. They usually won't fuck with each other and just kinda keep an eye on the other while they do their own thing.
>>5078353I don't think they like each other, but raccs are just too polite so cats rarely start shit with them.
>>5068335Fluffy
This thread was made by a woman.
>>5089290FFS, thread ruined.
>>5089290>a woman on 4chinDon't make me kek
>>5089828/an/ is one of the more chick-oriented boards
>>5089864you saying I could, as in non-zero chance, score a SLAMposting gf??
Raccs are now oil sheiks.
>>5090333>jarheadi never got that till now
>>5089878go to /out/. they take girls slamping all the time. it's like camping, but with a fat bitch
>>5090347You still didn't get it, unfortunately
>>5090349but the hajis look like jam jars when they wear it?
>>5090354Jarhead is slang for US marines because of their standard haircut picrel its also a decent movie
>>5090384the haji looks more like a jar than a zogbot with a dickhead haircut
when will raccoons realize they can use their hands for making tools?
>>5091337They can't, their thumbs aren't opposable.
>>5082530their absolute greed sickens me deeply
Wagoogus
>>5068716Same, but what does that have to do with the thread?
>>5092170I love how it looks like a raccoon's hands have minds of their own.
Today was blessed
>>5073443I'm listed as an author on that paper. It was a bioinformatics course doubling as a paper mill. Which I don't really mind, except that I have no confidence in our professor's understanding of statistics or validity. She was quite open about how bad she is at math.
>>5091337>>5091352they could probably learn how to throw rocks though, which in turn could be a major nuisance
>>5070780lolwut how mate?
>>5094599
Wish we had these fellas in Europe still haven't seen one irl. Last time I went to the zoo they were redoing their enclosure so I couldn't see them even there
Cross postan from the webm thread, imagine having a racc bro as a tradie. It would be absolute dimes
>>5095173that racc died on a workplace accident involving one of those because stupid owners thought internet likes were worth risking the life of the little bandit. Hell, in the full version of that video you can see how he is almost crushed by a cinderblock
>>5095189Well fuck. Should have known there can't be anything nice
>>5075675I was about to say that, the first time I saw it I was crying from laughing too much
>>5095147They are IN GERMANY
Why did no one told me Caribbean Islands has its own coons ?
This one has been coming around our house for almost 6 years.
>>5096214Almost seems like he's begging for more with those hand motions at the end. Always amazed at how polite they are.
>>5096039Wonderful critter
>>5094602Some raccoons just shed their masks after realising the error in their mischievous ways
Bucket of bandit
>>5095575Only like 200-300 adult specimens left of the cozumel raccoon. Sad state of affairs
>>5093950Where is that? Louisiana? I visited New Orleans in 2024 and went on a tour where we visited raccoons in the bayou on a boat, it was delightful.
>>5068335
>>5097399That sounds wonderful! I bet its nice and warm there, my raccs are all in topour with the cold wave
Activty in the thread slows, as raccs everywhere are in topour
>>5098135Not the ones in my ceiling
thank you raccoons
>>5098207Wonderful critters. Say hello to them will you?
What is he looking at?
>>5098135City raccoons can’t afford to torpor because it’s tax season now and there’s work to do!
>>5099021Poor critters, critter revolution now!
Cross postan attempt #2, please don't tell me these ones died too
>>5100325did an evil human grease the board to trick the Raccoon?
>>5100332Nah, it looks like treated aluminum.
Wonder if raccs can sleep in so many places cause thier fluff is a full body pillow or smth
If raccs are so smart how come they haven't figured out tool usage?
>>5100752They don't need tools when they can open a lock or door just by fiddling with it.
>>5100355Their fur is gross and nappy as well as patchy in places. It looks repulsive and diseased on some level. This is why they will never have the cute appeal of cats to me.
>>5098606a vulnerable chicken that is unaware.
>>5100767Thier outer fur is course but sleek, and their inner fur is fine and fuzzy. And they have hands!
>>5100752Raccs need to befriend some otters so they can learn how to smash with rocks
Are racoons actual goblins?
>>5101106The sound resemblance is uncanny.
>>5101106Very polite goblins.
>>5095332>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rascal_the_Raccoon>The series revolves around a young boy who decided to provide shelter to a raccoon that was discovered by a hunter. As the boy attempted to domesticate the wild animal as part of his family, he soon realized through trials and tribulations that his efforts were futile and decided to release Rascal back into the wild.>Raccoons are an invasive species in Japan and there is evidence that Rascal the Raccoon has contributed enormously to the problem of invasive raccoons in Japan.>Although Rascal the Raccoon's storyline revolves around the difficulties of taking in a raccoon as a pet, Japanese citizens became inspired to import raccoons into the country as exotic pets, leading to unforeseen consequences.i'm sure everyone itt is familiar with the story but it's my favorite example of catastrophically missing the point
