What are these appendages I've circled? I'm about 90% certain it is Parson's spider and I'm in the Midwest where they live but I'm just confused what these appendages on the back are. I think this is a pregnant female because I saw a much smaller spider I struggled to identify a few months earlier that I eventually determined was a Parsons spider and I let it live. And this one matches up with it but much bigger which is likely because my home has insects to eat and we Never kill spiders bros.
>>5068416Bonus pics here. Just wondering how the heck this boy even works. Is he a hunter? If so how is he different than a wolf spider? What are the appendages??
This dude was pretty horrifying desu. I have a bonus spider for later too, an orb weaver I saw outside thats very special. Turns out when you NEVER kill spiders and have a fair share of insects and don't use pesticides to stop them....it results in a thriving and varied spider population.
No fucking joke I also saw this "Pumpkin" spider Orb Weaver outside my home this morning. Beautiful boy, about the size of a half dollar. At least as big as a quarter.
>>5068421Wtf, wrong pic my bad.
>>5068422Look at how colorful and aptly named this "Pumpkin Spider is". Can y'all believe it?? I had a pumpkin on my front porch this week, I know the name is probably about its appearance but I have to wonder if it came from the pumpkin?
