I don't think switching to "green energy" will save the planet and save humanity. Green energy is delaying the issue instead of fixing it; nuclear energy is a far cleaner way of making electricity. It's got its issues and is not perfect. Neither is wind or solar energy. I think that we should revert to a tribal life like older humans used to live and only have to worry about survival. I know that this type of life is really far from perfect, but, is much better mentally for humanity and is ecologically better for our planet. Instead of having to worry about the constant stress of being able to afford housing, food and modern "necessities". Working towards feeding yourself and your family and thriving in harmony with nature should be our way of living. Again, I might be romanticising tribal life and I know said life isn't perfect. But, I think that it's the best shot we got at maintaining a good society and maintaining a better life. (Sorry if english isn't perfect i'm not a native speaker)

You are completely and utterly lost if you're talking in universalist and globalist terms.
That's something Abrahamics and Communists do and it always destroys everything it touches.

There’s probably a middle ground between this kind of tribal primitivism and our modern conveniences.
>>
>>5068507
>I don't think switching to "green energy" will save the planet and save humanity
Humanity and our civilization were doomed the moment we hit the 2k million population limit without any kind of birth control scheme on a planetary scale. You're right to think tribal communities will survive collapse and might provide the base for a new human civilization in the future, but thinking about all of that is just pointless
stop worrying and enjoy the ride while you still can, OP
>>
>>5068547
That picture oozes mental illness.
>>5068548
There is no one humanity and civilization you idiot.
>>
>>5068507
>nuclear energy is a far cleaner way of making electricity.
doesn't matter, everyone over 45 was inculcated from a young age that NUCLEAR BAD from oil company propaganda. the best thing we can do is switch over to green and then hopefully in a couple decades once boomers are all rotting in the ground, try again at nuclear.
>>
>>5068574
What are you talking about you out of touch idiot?
Most young people today are against nuclear energy and only support solar, wind, hydro etc
>>
>>5068550
>There is no one humanity and civilization you idiot
cope
>>
>>5068587
cope what?
You're an idiot?
>>
>>5068582
>Most young people today are against nuclear energy
maybe that's why i said people over 45 don't like nuclear you illiterate faggot
>>
>>5068595
But I'm saying that people UNDER 45 (young people), don't like nuclear either..
You "illiterate faggot".
So this -
>>5068574
>once boomers are all rotting in the ground, try again at nuclear.
Won't work or happen.

It's almost as if you're not reading the text that is right in front of you.

Amazing response severely autistic thing.
>>
>>5068507
I fucking hate shills and just want them dead more than I want to save the environment at this point.
>>
>>5068597
>under 45
>young
This brightened my day. I have 10 more years of young. Thank you
>>
>>5068519
>You are completely and utterly lost if you're talking in universalist and globalist terms.
This is a universalist term.
>>
>>5068507
ok, now go and convince the trillions of chinese and indians to do that
>>
>>5068678
shit thread, shitty answers
now go and live in a cave
>>
>>5068700
No it's not buddy.
There's a whole sea of ism's outside of globalism and universalism.
Also, I'm not telling all mankind to do the exact same thing at the same time right now like OP.
>>
>>5068715
You're the one telling people to live in a fucking cave to save the planet you idiot.
>>
>>5068681
lol
>"I'm just a mentally ill communist weirdo with autism that just wants an excuse to kill people."
>>
>>5068507
Life on Earth will be unsustainable eventually anyway, and only technology has potential to save it.
>>
>>5068507
The problem of environmental contamination goes away if all the brown people in India and Africa go away. 90% of ocean plastic pollution is from 10 river deltas in Asia and Africa.

But nobody wants to talk about that. Or the consumerist infinite consumption society.
>>
>>5068507
>is ecologically better for our planet
Caring about ecology for itself is retarded. Its a human modern construct. You should care about having enough food to feed you and to live with relitive comfort and dignity.

THe biosphere is always in flux, its not some sacred thing that was in perfect harmony until humans came along somehow.
>>
>>5068507

The problem with that, op, is that a lot of "modern necessities" are really that: necessities. There are lot of threats that we have neutralized through science. I'm on with you that we could cut back on a lot of things and be better off, but would you give up:
- heating, flowing water, i.e. a modern home that is safe and livable all year round
- medicine, and go back to common cold being sometimes lethal, not to mention all the plagues we have eradicated
- stable food production (i.e. your "village" is not one bad year away starvation)

This is just of the top of my head, without going into any of the potentially superfluous stuff like entertainment and overproduction.

We don’t need china to make 5000000000 new pairs of incrementally better marketed headphones with non-serviceable batteries per year
>>
>>5069043
But baumstein sachsberg promised his top shareholders, silverwitz and rothschild, higher dividends each year! Why do you hate the economy?
>>
>>5069043

Absolutely, fuck that shit. But that's not what op is talking about.
>>
>>5069041
I think the biggest hurdle is the assumption that all humans would hivemind agree to shit like this. We are still animals, we dont just all agree to shit on a whim. we are competitors like all animals are in the animal kingdom. once someone decides to spec into fiat currency or whatever other human advancement they will literally outcompete some group that decides to stay in tribal society.

By sear tragedy of the commons and evolutionary pressure that effects all species.
>>
>>5069043
There is a slight difference between moderate market downsizing and full on tribal regression anon-kun.

I know relative degrees of things are hard to understand.
>>
>>5069039
The biosphere was not filled with micropladtics and PFAS until humans came along.
>>
>>5069075
So? the world will adapt like it did during ice ages, meteors, and the grass expansion period of the cenozoic. Shake ups happen.
>>
>>5069077
You have a jeet brain
>throws another dead body in the Ganges
>>
>>5069077
Your continued existence has a slower pace of ecological change as a pre-requisite. You are adapted to a prior environment. Make random changes at your own peril.

Fertility rates are already dropping.

>i am brahmin sir!
When you die you will rot and the life you lived will be all you ever had.
>>
>>5069075
>The biosphere was not filled with micropladtics and PFAS until humans came along.

But the world has been full of micro-silica long before humans came along. Silica is far more durable and permanent than plastic. Plastic does eventually break down. Silica doesn't.
PFAS similarly does break down and have a half-life.
Natural background radiation is a far greater concern than PFAS.
>>
>>5069048
>I think the biggest hurdle is the assumption that all humans would hivemind agree to shit like this

It's rather concerning that you think humans should operate as a hivemind like ants.
>>
>>5069127
I dont think think they should though. It also just so happens that they don't do that anyways.
