They're lousy fliers and I believe many species of "crane fly" are even pollinators. If you found this in your house just catch it in a cup and put it outside or crush it I don't care and neither does the crane fly it's a retarded insect - they're about as complex as the Lincoln animatronic from the 1960s. Don't worry about it too much either way because it really doesn't matter.
