>Tierzoo is melting down because people are mildly criticizing him>againHow can someone be so terrible at taking criticism? He’s even lashing out at actual biologists that disagree with him. I guess having a cult like fanbase that gets offended on your behalf will do that to you,
I remember when his first video got recomended onto my feed and I thought how stupid of a concept it was. I am surprised there is a following to begin with for this.
>>5079029What I’m gathering from the twitter meltie is that he thinks scientific names would be pointless to use in a tv show and instead it’s better to use common names for animals that for the most part don’t have common names. Sounds retarded to me but I’m not sure what else I’d expect
>>5079029Links/pics? What's he saying?
>>5079029Where?
>>5079037It was a fun concept for the first five minutes. "What if reality was an MMORPG", "Oh it's the New Year, God put out a new update, looks like Syria just got nerfed". That sort of thing. The problem is you should never once take this seriously.
>>5079040Use both. Simple as that. Many of the scientific names even roll off the tounge really well like Glyptodon, Megatherium, Smilodon, Entelodont etc. no need to use "Giant ice age armadillo" for example, its kind a cheap cope out of not using scientific names. There is also a nice alternative to have some informative small text on screen, really can help.
>>5079037>>5079110Its le safe hecking reddit concept of looking at reality. Guilty myself for laughing slightly to it a few times, but overall just dont.
>>5079112/v/ used to have similar threads every New Years.
>>5079113Because its a blue board. And sure as other anon said it can be fun first few times, but some people make it their daily routine to behave in such ways towards reality, then it becomes certified cringe.
>>5079040Lots of popular names for animals are misleading because they come from a time when the proper phylogeny for them wasn't understood or were based on very superficial characteristics
>>5079037Eh it was a fun concept for a few videos, but I grew out of the humor eventually.
>>5079110Pretty much. It's a gimmick that was funny for one video and should have stayed there
>>5079029>OP barges in with vague gossip>no pics for our entertainmentWhy is he so gay?
>>5079037I would like it if he wasn't this wierd-ass autist retard going "HELLO FELLOW KIDS' that thinks saying "Build" and "In the current meta" every 6 seconds somehow makes animal videos entertaining.I am also fucking baffled at how he's one of the biggest and longest lasting creators on the platform.
>>5079110I hate that his videos are pretty good and I wouldn't mind "Animal group tier list" videos but he has to always tie it all to some hypothetical video game and use gamer lingo which just ruins it.Also he really needs to play more games. He always uses the same 5 games for all of his jokes
his channel is a funny concept for one or two videos but it's impossible to keep it fresh enough to work as a weekly content mill
>>5079579>overwatch control point voice line>lego star wars yoda death sfx>super smash bros hit sounds>"bomb has been planted">runescape/zelda ost
>>5079575I wouldn't mind him as much if he were at least clear about what his criteria for each tier are.
>>5079579Normalfags barely play more than five games. In fact, most kids just play Roblox now.
>>5079505OP is always a faggot anon. You'll face a lot less disappointment in life when you except this as a rule which is rarely broken. Way of the world I'm afraid, says so in the scriptures.
>>5079040Even worse, a tv show centered around prehistoric animals that don't even have common names to begin with that aren't extremely non-specific. Not to mention a tv show that's gone two seasons referring to animals by their genus name and no one having any problems with that. It would be like if we didn't have words for lions or tigers or leopards, so every documentary had to refer to them as just "a big cat" or "a panther."
>wants to be seen as a reliable and educational channel>has admitted to professionals that he doesn’t actually research most things and just wings it>gets mad when called out on it and would rather rage at actual scientists than admit he was wrong about something.None of this would be an issue if he just embraced the meme shit and stopped trying to be educational. Because he is not even putting in the minimum effort to be educational.
>>5079029Is it like ishuzoku reviewers?
>>5079806>weeb says braindead shitExpected
>>5079029it's just bawwtism
>>5080166It takes a very high IQ to understand etymological jokes.
>>5079113Which is why /v/‘s nickname is veddit
>>5079029Whelp /an/ I hope you're happy. Because of you a beloved and respected YouTuber is quitting forever. Good going.
>>5080550Wait really?
>>5080550I fucking wish
>>5080550God i hope
>>5079037The concept of examining ecology through game theory is great. The problem is that the execution is just a bunch of book fair tier animal facts with some video game references thrown in.
>>5079029Context?
>>5080550YAY!
>>5080550Please tell me it's real
He does a pretty good job of finding videos of animals fighting though I’ll give him that.
>>5079029All these posts and no one has pointed out that this is what caused TierZoo's meltdown
>>5081297he's 100% right thoughbeit. i know you're not saying "awww what a cute felis catus!" when you're out walking and see a cat. if you do then we know you're a virgin kek
>>5081303He's retarded because he's not talking about pets, he's talking about a show about prehistoric animals that are almost all primarily known by their scientific names.
>>5081305Uncommon animals do not have common names. The average person does not know enough about weird marsupial-adjacent south american megafauna, mesozoic shit, a generic looking but biologically unique bird family, or prehistoric fish to use vulgar shorthand for closely related and functionally similar animals. If it’s not alive today AND well embedded in the public consciousness, use the scientific name, because it is 1: more descriptive (and more people will have heard at least part of its designation before than have heard a fabricated common name) 2: is easier to look up and will refer to the species even if its designation is changed because designations do not get wiped out by the communist party. In many cases the scientific name, or a diminutive form, IS the common name. Normally. Looking at anti-white birders here. They tried.
>>5081318>Normally. Looking at anti-white birders here. They tried.?
>>5081332>he doesnt knowRacist white men who discovered things got their names erased. Racist men from other groups, well… they werent the target of the specific tribal grudge. https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/4287345-dozens-bird-names-change-purge-former-enslavers-racists/It is a highly abstract form of indian izzat.
>>5080550please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god please god
>>5081297using giant ground sloths as an example is really fucking bizarre because those are some of the only prehistoric animals that actually HAVE common namesis he just calling every giant ground sloth species "giant ground sloth" instead of like, "Jefferson's ground sloth" or "Shasta ground sloth"?
