Would it be even possible for Cenozoic terrestrial mammals to live side by side with dinosaurs?
>>5081733If I could why would I include mammals?
>>5081733No problem for Homo Sapiens. The real question is how long will the dinos survive.
>>5081733I would make it take place in a planet the size of UY Scuti so every single species that ever lived is present
Where is Andrewsarchus and Machairodus Horribilis?
>>5081733Don't need any different epochs, my seed world uses purely extant animals.
>>5081733absolutely. probably pretty readily even.
>>5081733Not really, because dinosaurs and mammals operate off of two different megafauna memes.>dinosaursBones are light, so everything can grow big including predators. Herbivores vacuum up all available plant matter at all levels of the forest.>mammalsBones are heavy and more emphasis is put in raising and protecting young. Predators frequently use packs or stealth since they can't grow as big as herbivores. Herbivores rarely grow large enough to consume all levels of a forest. Elephants and giraffes being the big outliers in the modern day.Overall megafauna memes are at an end thanks to Humans. Dinosaurs would be considered a huge nuisance in the modern era, it's fine to have Elephants in a national park for the tourists, but imagine Sauropods migrating through North America or T-Rex lumbering around your neighborhood as if it were a bear. They'd have been shot on sight in the 19th century, and some rando would be moaning on /an/ how we were so short sighted to wipe them all out.
>>5081733Love pics like this, watermarks ruin it though.
>>5081969Not all dinosaurs were big yk
