>A ghost crab is faster than a cheetah relative to its size, achieving up to 100 body lengths per second (around 10 mph), while a cheetah, despite its massive absolute speed (70+ mph), only manages about 10-16 body lengths per second

Ghost crabs are 10x faster than cheetahs.

How did they manage to catch in the first place?

Very carefully.

also, if a ghost crab were the size of a cheetah it would die. and if a cheetah were the size of a ghostcrab it would die too

This. It's like having a 5'2" friend that goes to the gym and is proud of his 3x bodyweight squat. He's still not going to be the guy anyone calls up to help move furniture or literally any strenuous physical activity.

the video is reversed

that would still end up being like 400+ pounds. you don't think that guy is strong enough to move your furniture?

>t. someone who has never lifted in his life
Lifting a perfectly balanced, perfectly shaped barbell is WAY different than lifting real objects in the real world.
For instance, a 150 lbs deadlift is cake. Something even someone who has never touched a barbell could do on his first try. But try to lift a 150 lbs atlas stone or sandbag. Even a moderately trained lifter will have an incredibly hard time doing that, and those are still well balanced objects.
A real world object would be even harder.
Not to mention doing something like going up stairs with someone short as fuck is annoying. He's not tall enough to be on the bottom end to lift up a long object and his """strong""" lifts don't mean anything if it only has a fucking 12 inch range due to his stubbly proportions and you need to move anything more than that. What are you going to do after he squats 12-15 inches? You think he'd be able to overhead press the rest of the distance? lmao
Bigger guys have better leverage for these things and just have an easier time. Even if two lifters of exactly the same squat/bench/deadlift help moving stuff, the taller one will have a much easier time.

You've never helped anyone move

Yeah duh they also have more legs. 4 (cheetah legs)x2+2 arms = 10, not exactly extraordinary.

I am short as fuck and one of the best at helping people move among anyone I know. Tall people are really annoying for me to work with and it only works out if I take most of the weight. It doesn't help that most people, including those who lift, are not good at lifting awkward objects. Even some guys in the trades have no idea how to effectively maneuver once they have a grip on the weight. I learned to lift things working construction and helping my family do manual labor. All of the issues you apply to the short guy also apply when a tall guy has to adjust to a strange position to fit into a tight space, stands higher when you're on the bottom going up a flight of stairs (which gives the short one all the weight), or insists on trying to drag an object instead of lifting it. Don't even get me started on having to match their stride, especially when I'm the one who has to walk backwards. Some of us are, indeed, strong enough to keep objects up just so the tall person doesn't want to kill themselves. We just never get the same courtesy in return.
