Do you know how much of a mental struggle it is to enjoy watching your hotwheel go down an embankment as a kid and realize you will have to go all the way down to pick up your hotwheels and try again? Do you understand the adjact fear of seeing your Deora II hit a bit of grit on the way down the slope and skid on the tarmac? Hearing it ding and scrape as the enamel is chipped away? Or spinning one of its wheels and realize it's buckled? No, of course you don't. You don't understand or appreciate the sisyphean struggle or values that playing with toy cars like hotwheels instill into you as a kid. No matter how many scuffed paintjobs on your car or scuffed knees you get from going up or down that sidewalk as a kid you keep going because the spectacle of a toy as simple as a hotwheels speeding down like a hot rod is as pure as you can possibly get to childlike joy. It only lasts 5 seconds, but it is 5 seconds worth the plasters on the leg or elbow to relive again and again.My ancestors who raced hoops as kids smile on me now as I race my hotwheels OP, can you say the same?
