Is anyone else kind of glad that over half the things on the endangered species list are endangered? Some are dangerous, more are livestock gluttons, even more are pests and some are really ass-holes.

I'm not one to cry about species going extinct, some things like ginkgos were clearly on the way out, but I find it unfair that a unique species can survive for millions of years only to end up dying because of humans being greedy and retarded.

Alligators and crocodiles should have become extinct. Our ancestors nearly wiped them out because they understood how dangerous alligators and crocodiles were and a major obstacle toward completely safe and risk-free water sources for humans and livestock.

Alligators are chill creatures and almost never go out of there way to bother or hunt humans. Gators were nearly wiped out only because their meat used to be popular along with leather products. Crocodiles are usually the aggressive ones but they are never really a problem because they avoid human settlements.

To add to this, alligators are important ecosystem predators that naturally control populations and hunt things like invasive snakes, feral hogs and iguanas and even the overpopulated raccoons in wetlands that are detrimental to things like livestock, property and turtle nests. Gators are good and we should leave them alone.

Humans? I think you're distinctly talking about the Chinese, Africans, and Jeets.

>Africans
Africa is the only continent where their megafauna stayed intact. Whether that's because the megafauna evolved alongside humans or because Africans were too incompetent to kill them all doesn't matter. They managed to stay alive until the formerly western and now eastern demand for medicine and ivory and shit that leads to poachers being incentivized. Also an issue being decades of foreign aid causing an artificial bloat of their population.

I say a big issue that isn't talked about at all is the cult mentality of "NATURE IS PERFECT, ANYTHING HUMANS DO IS BAD!!!" which works in theory except we killed all the megafauna that managed the ecosystem, and now we refuse to take up the mantle with prescribed burns or woody plant maintence. This leads to unique habitats with unique plants and animals getting overgrown and becoming yet another boring forest. B-b-b-but you can't cut down muh trees what about muh oxygen!

These retarded faggots will say veganism is better for the environment when in actuality a cattle pasture is an actual ecosystem with hundreds of other species unlike basedbean and corn monoculture.

because theres literally food everywhere in africa, you didnt need to kill a mammoth in the death of winter or else your tribes starves

Gingkos? You mean those trees with stinky fruit?
>>

Yes. They were going extinct because they could not compete with angiosperms which could grow and reproduce faster. The only reason they're still around is because of humans cultivating them.
