Tiny visitor
Hell yeah. They started the nest in February last year iirc?
Bumb.It is likely that last year's chicks are alive and travel together, as two young eagles were previously seen circling near the nest a couple of times and the pair were not usually angry towards the visitors.
>>5092476Neat, thanks for the reminder!
>>5092482the nest has been there for several years but i read something after i made the thread that said shadow and jackie started nest rebuilding late in the season last year due to unseasonably warm weather (thanks climate change!) which is why there's no eggs yet. it seems we may have to wait a little longer.

>>5095042It's THEM!Anyone else kinda jelly of the life of the eagles? Seems like a meaningful fulfilling life.
Pack of coyotes?
Guys WAKE UP!

A lot of incubation so there's no third egg coming?
Its over
>raven cracked one of the eggs IT'S FUCKING JOEVER
and now both eggs are cracked. RIP this mating season i guess
Ripperino pepperino both eggs gone. So what happen? At the moment the eggs have been left alone for almost 4 hours. One of the eggs collapse on its own. It was fine after parent left.
>>5097426Miracle if Jackie delivery 3rd egg, but otherwise super over.
>>5097429>leave nest for 3 fucking hours unattended>eggs get eaten>surprise pikachu.jpg
Well that was stupid. Better luck next year I guess
>>5097417What happened to it? I saw the raven crack the other egg, but that one looked cracked first. I couldn't find the timestamp where it happened though.
Fug, what a shitty season. I remember something about eagles starting a new clutch if they lose it too early but I don't know if that's possible now.
lmao have these birds ever been successful? every year these webcams are posted here and they fail
>>50975302 healthy female chicks raised last season and based on sightings it's likely they survived their first year
>>5097531
>>5097528The statistical odds of it go like this:https://www.elfruler.com/?page_id=3218>Of the 44 failed clutches, the adults at 12 laid second clutches, which is 27.3% of the failed first clutches, or only 3.1% of total clutches. The page says the timing is important. If it's too late, they're not gonna try again. These eggs were lost only a couple of days after they were laid. It looks like there should be time to retry. I guess we'll see.
>>5097479Hard to tell because of camera quality and lighting, but egg looked fine in this pic? Egg cracked before ravens show up. Somewhere 12-13?
>>5097530Jackies history 2017-2026 If I calculated correctly from the site:>Eggs laid21>Hatch7>Fledged 5>Still alive?3
>Incubating empty nestBirds are not very smart
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghGYcSCCrR4They don't spend time in the nest but are seen mating
>>5097530they had 2 successful chicks last year newfag
Around 10:50 they both visited the nest and tidied it a bit.
They mated multiple times and brought sticks to the nest, so there is a chance they are starting a new brood
>>5099139>Did you heard? Mad lads going to try again.>So it seems, so it seems...
>>5099240kek noooo
Sandy the eagle lady has passed away:(
>>5100640she got to be an old lady and do a cool thing for the world and be on tv. Be happy she lived rather than sorry she's gone. It's a better use of your time.
>>5100646That's true. I hope the eagles will hach a chick that will be named in her honor.https://youtu.be/TErAMu3OywM?si=p3tiXkcEZW_Lgwj
