Baleen that anon mentioned is one example. Picrel is another. This fish doesn't have the jaw strength to bite chunks out of prey, and the teeth are the wrong shape for that. The teeth form a cage to entrap small prey. Some kinds of teeth, like molars, are used for grinding up food. But other kinds of teeth have other functions.
