>adopting stray cathow does this work? i've seen comments of people saying this. do they just find a cat outside and take it home?
>>5105736Yeah. You find a friendly cat, pick it up, and carry it home.
>>5105736My current cat was a stray. I fed him and he let himself into my apartment. He's an indoor cat now but I take him outside on his leash or in a backpack.
>>5105736That’s exactly how it works. Kot is kot no matter if you pick it up off the street, a shelter, or a pet store.
>>5105740how do you know you're not stealing someone's cat?
>>5105743Finders keepers
>>5105736I have NEVER bought a cat, they literally just walk in.I'll ask my neighbors if they lost one, but no, never.Cats spawn like a video game.
>>5105743well it's just a cat, nobody really caresremember the china videos last year
>>5105743>how do you know you're not stealing someone's cat?You look for a collar.>>5105762This, they just sort of show up. Perhaps there is something to the old theory of 'spontaneous generation'
>>5105762dont you get too many cats after a while if cats keep coming in?
>>5105796I always stop at two, and they have to get along with my doggie.
>>5105736Yes, pet stores don't want you to know this but cats are free
>>5105743If it was their cat it 1: wouldnt be outside 2: would have a lost cat ad up. If it has a collar its not even necessarily their cat. Call from a pay phone and if they say he’s always out and to let him go, keep the cat. Outdoor cat “people” are animal abusers and disease spreaders.
>>5105807Where are you gonna find a pay phone
>>5105736the elites don't want you to know this but the cats on the street are free, you can just take them.
>>5105743Because he wasn't collared or chipped. Also he was underweight, had fleas, a severe ear infection, and an abscess from scratching his ears. If he did belong yo someone they were doing fuck all to take care of him.
>>5105743If the cat is outside unsupervised and without a chip or collar it belongs to nobody.
>>5105807>pay phoneLMAO haven't seen one of those in a decade
>>5105743They just get another cat or steal it back. You 'own' an outdoor cat the same way you 'own' outdoor furniture, It's a dick move to take it but it's not really the end of the world.
>>5105873We still have them in philly
if you're unsure you can take care of a cat, just build an outside shelter with like a old rubbermaid bin...plenty people do it in my cityfeed it scraps every now and then and see if it wants to truly stick around
like this
>>5105883>You 'own' an outdoor cat the same way you 'own' outdoor furniture, It's a dick move to take it but it's not really the end of the world.????
It works just like wallets or laptops really, if you see one unattended you can just take it
